DAY 1 - ARRIVE IN VENICE
Upon arrival in Venice, enjoy the scenic journey to your hotel via a private boat transfer and check in for a three-night stay. Once you get your bearings, wander through the delightful cobbled streets and piazzas of this romantic city, discovering new treats around every corner including impressive churches, beautiful bridges and quaint trattorias. Stop in one of the many pretty restaurants to dine on traditional Venetian cuisine and admire the gorgeous scenery. (Overnight in Venice)

 DAY 2 - VENICE
Start today with a romantic private gondola ride through the Canals of Venice.  A visit to Venice is not complete without a ride on a Gondola, a mode of transport that has been in existence in Venice for over 1000 years! Soak up the vibrant atmosphere in St. Mark's Square, while marvelling at the beautiful mosaics that adorn the Basilica and maybe visit the Doge's Palace, with its origins dating back to the 14th century. It is advisable to take a tour of this important Venetian landmark to fully understand its extensive history. (Overnight in Venice) B

DAY 3 - VENICE
Why not take a water taxi to the Lido and soak up the sunshine on the pristine, sandy beach? Alternatively, indulge your inner culture vulture and head to the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, boasting a large collection of modern art. For tasty treats and souvenirs to take back home, perhaps search for local specialities at the Rialto Markets. (Overnight in Venice) B

 DAY 4 - VENICE TO LONDON
After breakfast this morning, board your shared taxi transfer to Santa Lucia station, and check in for your journey on the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. Your steward will show you to your private compartment, before you enjoy a three-course lunch as you gaze at the beautiful passing scenery of the Italian Dolomites, the Austrian and Swiss Alps. Afternoon tea is served in your compartment. A four-course dinner is served in the evening in one of the three restaurant cars, after which you might like to visit the Bar Car '3674', where the resident pianist plays a baby grand piano. Return to your cabin, which will have been transformed into a cozy bedroom by your Cabin Steward. (Overnight on the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express) B, L, AT, D

 DAY 5 - ARRIVAL INTO LONDON
This morning, a Continental breakfast is served in your compartment before the train pulls into Paris Gare de l'Est and halts for 40 minutes. A delicious brunch is served in the restaurant cars as you travel on towards the French coast for the Channel crossing. Join the cream and umber carriages of the British Pullman, the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express' sister train, for the journey to London. A traditional English afternoon tea accompanied by a glass of sparkling wine is served to you at your table as you watch the gentle scenery of Kent pass by before drawing into London Victoria Station. DAY 6 - LONDON
Set out to explore the British capital today making use of your fantastic sightseeing pass.  Perhaps taking a river cruise down the Thames or exploring the city's royal heritage with a trip to Buckingham Palace. In the evening, experience sumptuous cuisine ranging from Michelin-starred hotspots to quirky pubs all waiting to be discovered. (Overnight in London)

 DAY 7 - DEPART LONDON
After breakfast this morning, check out of your hotel and continue with your travels. If you wish to extend your vacation, perhaps with an additional day in a different city, one of our Rail Vacation Specialists will be happy to assist you with the details. B

Bauer Palazzo Hotel Venice

Located in the heart of the city, a short distance from the city’s main attractions and designer shops, BAUER PALAZZO it’s the only hotel with two different styles and souls: the wing overlooking the Baroque church of Campo San Moisè with its art-deco inspired interiors has a distinctive urban vibe, while the rooms located in the authentic 18th century palazzo combine modern luxury with sumptuous hand crafted Venetian fittings and furnishings, offering a spectacular vantage point in Venice on the Grand Canal.

Ai Mori D Oriente

The Ai Mori d'Oriente Hotel is a historic hotel set in a palace which was once home to Turkish merchants, known as the 'Mori'. The hotel and bedrooms are decorated in an exotic Byzantine style throughout; the Ai Mori d'Oriente also has a bar and a relaxing reading room. The hotel is located in one of the quietest parts of the city called Cannaregio, within walking distance of all the main sights.

Bauer Palladio and Spa
