Daily Itinerary:

DAY 1 – ARRIVE IN KOBLENZ
Upon arrival in Koblenz, check in at your hotel for a three-night stay. Spend your first evening in Koblenz soaking up the scenery of this pretty Rhine city. (Overnight in Koblenz)

DAY 2 - KOBLENZ
Today see a different side of Koblenz and the river valley with a sightseeing cruise along the Rhine! Choose your ideal start time and hop aboard any KD ship and enjoy a leisurely day-long float. From the comfort of your seat, catch great riverside views, ornamented by castles, lush vineyards and natural wonders. Hop on and off all day at the many stops from Koblenz to Mainz or Linz to Cologne with your flexible single-day included KD Rhine pass. DAY 3 - KOBLENZ
We recommend a daytrip to the historic town of Rudesheim. Take the train along the Rhine Valley to Bingen and cross the river by boat, arriving at Rudesheim in time for a look around the town, take a gondola ride up to the Niederwalddenkmal monument or have an early lunch. Then travel back along the route of the Rhine by cruise ship (journey time 4 hours). (Overnight in Koblenz) B

DAY 4 - KOBLENZ TO LUXEMBOURG
Take the beautiful rail route along the course of the Moselle River today to the lovely city of Trier. Why not leave your bags in a locker at the station and spend the day in Germany's oldest city? Visit the UNESCO World Heritage listed Cathedral of St Peter, discover the legacy of Roman occupation by seeing some of the city's amazing Roman monuments, or relax in a café on the beautiful market square. Whenever you're ready, re-board the train and travel the last 45-minute journey to Luxembourg. On arrival in Luxembourg, check in at your hotel for a three-night stay. (Overnight in Luxembourg) B

DAY 5 - LUXEMBOURG
Today Discover Luxembourg City from the top of a City Sightseeing double decker bus Experience the most beautiful landmarks of the city. Hop on, hop off at any of the ten City Sightseeing bus stops. Daily departures, every 20 minutes from 10am-6pm (weekends + public holiday until 8pm), from the “Boulevard de la Pétrusse” (just outside the bank “Spuerkees”). DAY 6 - LUXEMBOURG
For a history of the city, head to the Luxembourg City History Museum or the Museum of History and Art which displays artworks from all epochs of Luxembourgian History. The city's fortifications are UNESCO World Heritage listed and the underground 18th century Casemates Bock is particularly interesting. Luxembourg City has a high concentration of Michelin starred restaurants so you might want to try one of these in the evening, or if you're looking for something more casual, there are plenty of great restaurants in the Old Town and down in the pretty Grund area in the valley. DAY 7 - DEPART LUXEMBOURG
After breakfast this morning, check out of your hotel and continue with your journey. If you wish to extend your vacation, perhaps with an additional day in a different city, one of our Rail Specialists can assist you with this option. B
