Explore the historic cities of Berlin, Dresden and Prague on this eight-day vacation. Travel to Berlin for three nights, before taking the train to Dresden on the River Elbe. After an overnight stay, head off to the Czech Capital of Prague! There is so much to explore on this three-city adventure; Berlin is ideal for culture vultures, Dresden a real city of contrasts and Prague boasts all the grandeur of a city once the seat of Holy Roman Emperors and Bavarian kings.

DAY 1 - BERLIN
Your adventure begins in Berlin! Upon arrival make your way to your hotel and check in for a three-night stay. Berlin is a fascinating city, full of history, culture, fabulous buildings and world-class museums, along with a wide range of excellent restaurants and bars and a strong tradition in the performing arts. DAY 2 - BERLIN
Spend a full day exploring Berlin. There is no better place to start than the Berlin Wall. Symbolizing the division between the capitalist West and communist East, sections of the wall can be visited at several locations, most notably at the East Side Gallery. Checkpoint Charlie also provides an emotional view of the wall's history. (Overnight in Berlin) B

DAY 3 - BERLIN
Why not explore the imposing Reichstag today, another building with huge historical significance and a favorite among tourists. A climb up to the glass dome is recommended for the wonderful views, photo opportunities and rooftop restaurant. Brandenburg Gate also has a fascinating past and is one of Germany's most recognizable symbols. (Overnight in Berlin) B

DAY 4 - BERLIN TO DRESDEN
After breakfast, depart Berlin in the morning and take the ICE train to Dresden. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel for an overnight stay. Known as the Florence of the North, Dresden is arguably Germany's most attractive city with an abundance of Baroque architecture. Most of the city center has been beautifully reconstructed after being destroyed by heavy bombing during World War II. The city's reconstruction also includes important works of modern architecture, such as Sir Norman Foster's new train station, which sits alongside renovated buildings such as the Frauenkirche Church. DAY 5 - DRESDEN TO PRAGUE
After spending a morning of leisure in Dresden, take the Eurocity Train to Prague. On arrival in Prague, check in at your hotel for a three-night stay. Steeped in history and with a wide variety of attractions, this not-so-hidden gem continues to delight visitors from all over the world. Historically the ancient capital of Charles IV's kingdom, Prague has developed as a culturally enriched city complete with many stylish hotels and restaurants where visitors can relax and enjoy their stay. DAY 6 - PRAGUE
Prague city center is divided into four districts: The New Town which encompasses Wenceslas Square, the neighboring Old Town Quarter, the Jewish Quarter and the Lesser Quarter, home of Prague Castle, one of the city's most popular attractions. The castle contains the impressive crown jewels of the Bohemian Kingdom and was historically home to Holy Roman Emperors and Czech kings, although it now houses the presidential offices of the Czech Republic. Architecture fans will be in their element in Prague, which boasts a wide variety of beautiful buildings spanning the styles of Art Nouveau, Baroque, Renaissance, Gothic, Cubist and Neo-Classical. DAY 7 - PRAGUE
After a leisurely breakfast, maybe visit the Petrin View Tower, a smaller version of the Eiffel Tower. Built in 1891 for the Jubilee Exhibition, the landmark stands at a height of 60m with 299 steps to the top platform. (Overnight in Prague) B

DAY 8 - DEPART PRAGUE

The Spree River is within easy walking distance (approx. 5 min), and the Mercedes-Benz Arena is only about 9 minutes away. Using public transport, the Brandenburger Gate and Berlin Mitte can be easily reached in approx. 15 minutes.
