DAY 1 – ARRIVE IN FLORENCE
Welcome to Florence! Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and enjoy a two-night stay. Once settled in, why not head to the popular Uffizi Gallery and see the Renaissance works of great artists such as Botticelli, Raphael and Michelangelo. (Overnight in Florence) B

DAY 2 - FLORENCE
Spend a full day exploring this magnificent city, perhaps enjoying a famous Gelato as you stroll through the city's lively Piazzas, and marvel at the magnificent dome of the Duomo Basilica. Admire the charming views along the River Arno and cross the city's oldest bridge, the 14th century Ponte Vecchio.  In the afternoon take a guided walking tour for some local knowledge of the streets, ending with an Aperitif. DAY 3 - FLORENCE TO VENICEEnjoy breakfast in the hotel before you take the train from Florence to Venice. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel for a two-night stay. Spend the afternoon getting your bearings in the city, stroll through the city's winding streets and cross its pretty bridges, before relaxing at a pavement cafe while you take in your elegant surroundings. (Overnight in Venice) B

DAY 4 - VENICE
After breakfast, enjoy a short walking tour with a local guide for some stories of the city's labyrinthine streets and campos (squares), then enjoy a gondola ride down the Grand Canal.  You may wish to marvel at the Astronomical Clock at the Torre dell'Orologio in St. Mark's Square or see the works of famous artists such as Tintoretto and Bellini at the Gallerie dell'Accademia. Stroll through the Piazza San Marco, or take a water taxi out to the islands of Murano and Burano and watch the glassblowers at work. And don't forget to treat yourself to an authentic Italian pizza! DAY 5 - VENICE SIMPLON-ORIENT-EXPRESS
Make your way from your hotel to Venice Santa Lucia station and board the Wagons-Lits carriages of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. Your steward will show you to your private compartment before you enjoy a three-course lunch as you gaze at the beautiful passing scenery of the Italian Dolomites and the Austrian and Swiss Alps. Afternoon tea is served in your compartment. A four-course dinner is served in the evening in one of the opulent restaurant cars. Why not head to the Bar Car '3674' for an after-dinner cocktail, accompanied by the melodies of the baby grand piano. Return to your compartment, which will have been transformed into a cosy bedroom by your Steward. (Overnight on the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express) B, L, AT, D

DAY 6 – ARRIVAL IN LONDON
The train arrives in Paris after a continental breakfast, and a delicious brunch is served in the restaurant cars as you travel on towards the French coast for the Channel crossing. On arrival in Folkestone, join the cream and umber carriages of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express' sister train, the British Pullman, for the journey to London. A traditional English afternoon tea accompanied by a glass of sparkling wine is served to you at your table as you watch the gentle scenery of Kent pass by. Suddenly, you are drawing into London Victoria station. (Overnight in London) B, BR, AT

DAY 7 – DEPART LONDON
After breakfast this morning, check out of your hotel and continue with your travels. If you wish to extend your vacation, perhaps with an additional day in a different city, one of our Rail Vacation Specialists will be happy to assist you with the details. B

The Ai Mori d'Oriente Hotel is a historic hotel set in a palace which was once home to Turkish merchants, known as the 'Mori'.
