Trip Overview

Explore the beauty of Geneva, the spectacular scenery of the Swiss Alps, the elegance of Venice and the grandeur of Munich on this great vacation by rail. Travel down to Geneva via Paris for two nights before riding the rails through the Alps on the Simplon Pass to Venice. Spend three nights enjoying the city of masks before taking the train through the scenic Brenner Pass to Munich. After two nights exploring the Bavarian capital, travel back via Brussels to London.

DAY 1 - ARRIVE IN GENEVA
Upon arrival in Geneva, make your way to your hotel for a two-night stay. Spend the evening enjoying a tasty meal at a local lakeside restaurant, or take a relaxing boat trip out on the lake and admire the city's cosmopolitan feel and the stunning backdrop of the Alps and the Jura mountains. (Overnight in Geneva)

DAY 2 - GENEVA
After breakfast this morning, enjoy an additional day discovering Geneva. Not to be missed are the world's highest fountain, the Jet d'Eau, which fires water into the sky on the beautiful lakefront, and the Museum of the International Committee of the Red Cross, one of the best museums of its kind in Europe. (Overnight in Geneva) B

DAY 3 - GENEVA TO VENICE
After breakfast, depart Geneva in the morning and travel to Venice on one of the most scenic routes in Europe, the Simplon Pass. Relax while the train follows the shores of Lake Leman and across Swiss vineyards, with stunning views of the Alps in the background. Travel further south after crossing the border into Italy before arriving in Venice. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and enjoy a three-night stay. (Overnight in Venice) B

DAY 4 - VENICE
After breakfast in the hotel, why not head to the Gallerie dell'Accademia to see the works of Bellini, Veronese and Tintoretto or explore the city's most famous square, St. Mark's Square, home to the iconic St Mark's Basilica. In the evening, treat yourself to a romantic dinner by the waterside. (Overnight in Venice) B

DAY 5 - VENICE
Enjoy breakfast in the hotel and then maybe hop aboard a Vaporetto (water bus) and travel like a true Venetian beneath the city's ornate bridges and endless winding canals or perhaps visit the impressive collection of modern art at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection. (Overnight in Venice) B

DAY 6 - VENICE TO MUNICH
Spend the morning in Venice and after lunch, catch the direct service from Santa Lucia Station to Munich. Travel through Verona, Trento and Innsbruck on the stunning Brenner Alpine pass, watching snowy peaks, green valleys and glacial rivers pass by your window. Arrive in the evening in Munich and check in at your hotel for a two-night stay. (Overnight in Munich) B

DAY 7 - MUNICH
Enjoy a full day's sightseeing at leisure. Marvel at the Gothic towers of the Frauenkirche, built in the 15th century and rebuilt in 1945 after almost being destroyed during World War II. Animal lovers should head to the Hellabrunn Zoo, home to over 5000 animals or perhaps learn about Natural Science and Technology at the Deutsches Museum, located on an island in the Isar River. DAY 8 - DEPART MUNICH
After breakfast this morning, check out of your hotel and continue with your travels. If you wish to extend your vacation, perhaps with an additional day in a different city, one of our Rail Consultants will be happy to assist you with the details. B

Hotel Cristal welcomes guests in the heart of Geneva meters away from a cathedral and a museum.
