Daily Itinerary
DAY 1    MUMBAI
Arrive at Mumbai International Airport and our representative will meet you in the arrival area of the airport after you clear all immigration and custom formalities. Depart for your hotel where you will check in for your stay.  Mumbai, or Bombay, is the capital of Maharashtra and the economic powerhouse of India. It’s the fastest moving and most affluent city in India. Spend the evening at leisure. (Overnight in Mumbai)

DAY 2    MUMBAI
After breakfast, you will be taken for the excursion to the Elephanta Caves (closed on Monday and during the monsoons). Located across the sea from the Gateway of India and accessible by ferry is the island of Elephant that has rock-cut cave temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Little is known about their origins, but they are thought to have been created between 450 and 750 AD. The most famous sculpture here is the Trimurti, representing the three-headed Shiva where the god is depicted as the trinity of the creator, the preserver and the destroyer. There are also figures of Shiva dancing the tandava, the marriage of Shiva and Parvati and one in which Shiva appears as Ardhanareshwar, uniting both sexes in one body.
Afternoon proceed for a city tour including visits to Prince of Wales Museum (closed on Monday) and Mani Bhawan (Gandhi’s Bombay home). Drive past the colonial High Court, University and Museum Buildings, the Tower of Silence and visit the beautiful Jain temple and most exciting Dhobi Ghats. (Overnight in Mumbai) B

DAY 3    MUMBAI JOIN MAHARAJAS EXPRESS
Morning Registration at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. Later you will depart for Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Railway Station to board Maharaja Express which then starts its journey to Udaipur. Lunch and dinner will be served onboard (Overnight Maharajas Express) B L D

DAY 4    UDAIPUR MAHARAJAS EXPRESS
After Breakfast onboard around mid-morning you will arrive into Udaipur. Proceed for Boat ride on Lake Pichola followed by visit to City Palace and Crystal Gallery. Return to the comforts of Maharajas’ Express for lunch onboard. In the afternoon you can choose Optional Activities - Spa at a hotel or Local City Tour. Exclusive Dinner at Satkar Hall of Fatehprakash Palace or Jagmandir Island Palace. Return to the comforts of Maharajas’ Express as the train proceeds to Jodhpur (Overnight Maharajas Express) B L D

DAY 5    JODPHUR MAHARAJAS EXPRESS
Breakfast onboard then you can take an optional Tour to Bishnoi Village (De-board at Rohat Railway Station). Lunch onboard. Proceed to visit the Mehrangarh Fort followed by a Walking Tour of the Old Clock Tower market and enjoy a joy ride on Tuk Tuks. Followed by an exclusive cocktail dinner at Hanwant Mahal or Khaas Bagh. Return to the comforts of Maharajas' Express as train proceeds to Bikaner (Overnight Maharajas Express) B L D

DAY 6    BIKANER MAHARAJAS EXPRESS
Enjoy countryside while having breakfast onboard. Arrive into Bikaner around mid-morning. Relax onboard or you may choose Optional Activities – Visit to Lalgarh Museum or Local City Tour. Lunch onboard. Afternoon visit to Junagarh Fort followed by sundowners at Sand Dunes. DAY 7    JAIPUR MAHARAJAS EXPRESS
Breakfast onboard. arrive into Jaipur and proceed for a visit to Amber Fort. After sightseeing proceed to Rambagh Palace hotel for lunch. Return to the Maharajas’ Express. You may choose Optional Activities – Spa at a hotel, Visit to City Palace Museum and Observatory or Local City Tour. DAY 8    RANTHAMBORE – FATEPHUR SIKRI MAHARAJAS EXPRESS
Early morning proceed for an exciting Game Drive at Ranthambore National Park. Return to the train for breakfast onboard, Maharajas' Express proceeds for Fatehpur Sikri, lunch onboard. Mid-afternoon arrive into Fatehpur Sikri. Visit the deserted Mughal City of Fatehpur Sikri. Return to the comforts of Maharajas' Express. DAY 9    AGRA - DELHI MAHARAJAS EXPRESS
Early morning arrival into Agra and proceed to visit Taj Mahal followed by a champagne Breakfast at Taj Khema. Return to the comforts of Maharajas' Express as train travels to Delhi. Lunch onboard. Late afternoon Disembark and bid farewell to the Maharajas' Express as your royal passage through the grand vistas of India comes to an end. Your transfer will be waiting to take you to your hotel. India’s capital and a major gateway to the country, Delhi is a bustling metropolis, which successfully combines in its folds - the ancient with the modern. Amidst the fast spiralling skyscrapers, the remnants of a bygone time in the form of its many monuments stand as silent reminders to the region’s ancient legacy. The first impressions for any visitor are of a spacious, garden city, tree-lined with a number of beautiful parks. Spend the evening at leisure. (Overnight in Delhi) B L

DAY 10  DELHI
Today after Breakfast Proceed for a full day combined city tour of Old and New Delhi. (The Guide will meet you at the hotel at approximately 0900 hrs. unless you request otherwise). In Old Delhi you will visit the 17th century Jama Masjid and walk through the narrow, winding lanes of colourful and bustling Chandni Chowk. You have the option of taking a rickshaw ride through these bazaars. Also visit the Mughal Empire’s most opulent fort, the Red Fort for a photo stop. Visit Raj Ghat where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated.  Afternoon proceed to New Delhi. Drive past The Presidential Palace, the one-time imperial residence of the British viceroys, the India Gate, a memorial raised in honor of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war and a drive along the Rajpath past the Parliament House and secretarial buildings. Visit Qutab Minar, the 12th century tower of victory built by a slave king and prototype of all minars (towers) in India. Also visit the 16th century Humayun’s tomb, a precursor to the Taj Mahal. DAY 11  DEPART DELHI
Today after breakfast your tour concludes, you will be assisted & transferred in a private car to Delhi International airport for your flight home.
