DAY 1 -MILAN

Welcome to Milan! Once checked in at your hotel head out to see the city with your Hop-on Hop-off bus pass. (Overnight Milan)

DAY 2 -THE BERNINA EXPRESS

Check out of your hotel and take the local train to Tirano, then board the Bernina Express train heading north into Switzerland. Travel over the famous Brusio Spiral Viaduct before climbing into the mountains past the Morteratsch Glacier and over the Bernina Pass. The train and its panoramic carriages the pass through Pontresina before arrivingat St Moritz for a 2-night stay. (Overnight St Moritz) B

DAY 3 -ST MORITZ

Make use of your Engadin card today with a ride on the local funicular and cable-car to Piz Nair (May-Oct only). This mountain peak rewards all visitors with some spectacular views of Graubünden and beyond. If you would rather simply relax and enjoy the town, spend some time strolling around the gorgeous lake or dining in one of the many restaurants. (Overnight in St. Moritz)B

DAY 4 -THE GLACIER EXPRESS

After breakfast at your hotel make your way to the station for a journey aboard the slowest express train in the world. The Glacier Express takes you over 291 bridges and through 91 tunnels. The views from the panoramic windows you pass mountain peaks, deep gorges and idyllic mountain villages is often breath-taking. The eight hours onboard will fly bye before you pull into car free Zermatt for a two-night stay. (Overnight Zermatt)B

DAY 5 -THE GORNERGRAT DAY TRIP

At a time of your choosing take a ride up to 3090m above sea level on the historic Gornergrat cog railway. As the train climbs over bridges and through a fragrant forest of fir trees passengers are awarded with a spectacular view of the iconic Matterhorn mountain. At the top there are some gentle walking trails where you might catch a glimpse of a wild Chamois or Marmot, and when you are ready take the train back down the mountain and enjoy dinner in one of Zermatt's great local restaurants. DAY 6 - ZURICH

Take the train to Zurich today via a quick change in Visp and enjoy exploring its pretty old town and lake front. Zurich is often overlooked thanks to the natural beauty of Switzerland, but its great selection of museums and fantastic art galleries make it a wonderful place to spend a night. (Overnight Zurich) B

Day 7 - ZURICH TO AMSTERDAM

In the morning hop on the highspeed train across the border to Germany, and after a change in Frankfurt you will speed north to the Dutch capital Amsterdam where you continue your travels. B
