DAY 1 – ARRIVE IN FRANKFURT
On arrival in Frankfurt, make your way to your hotel and check in for a 1-night stay.  Take a stroll along the river to the pretty old town area, then that evening perhaps take a trip to the top of Frankfurt’s Main Tower for dinner with the best view in town! (Overnight Frankfurt)

DAY 2 – FRANKFURT TO COLOGNE
Take the direct ICE train from Frankfurt to Cologne, then check-in to your hotel for a 2-night stay (Overnight Cologne) B

DAY 3 - COLOGNE
After breakfast explorer the ancient cobbled streets of Cologne, visit its famous gothic Cathedral – (the tallest building in the world prior to the construction of the Empire State Building) and then head to the impressive Chocolate museum located on the river for some well-deserved treats.  That evening make sure to visit any of the traditional bars or beerhalls to enjoy a Kölsch or 3 like the locals! DAY 4 – KOBLENZ           
Today take the slow train down the west bank of the Rhine river and enjoy some exciting views of beautiful castles and terraced vineyards as it winds its way to Koblenz.  On arrival make your way to your hotel for a 2-night stay. (Overnight Koblenz) B

DAY 5 – KOBLENZ
Koblenz is located at the confluence between the Rhine and Moselle rivers, and today you’ll enjoy some great views as you cross the Rhine aboard a cable-car to the impressive Ehrenbreitstein Fortress which overlooks the area.  If you are staying over a weekend between May and October, speak to our Sales Consultants about a scenic day cruise down the Moselle river to Cochem.  (Overnight Koblenz) B

DAY 6 – KD RHINE CRUISE/BINGEN
This morning board a KD Rhine cruise ship for one of the most picturesque river cruises in Europe.  Nowhere in the world are there as many medieval castles as on the Rhine river, and its sights such as the mythical Lorely Rock and over 2000yrs of history which helped gain this area its UNESCO World Cultural Heritage status.  There is no better way to enjoy this special landscape from the river itself, and in the afternoon, you disembark your boat in the small town of Bingen. DAY 7 – BINGEN
Enjoy a relaxing day today in this small town which is the centre of the wine industry this area is renowned for. Stroll over to the Mouse Tower which dates back to the 10th Century or wander up to the Klopp castle for some wonderful panoramic views across the area. In the evening head down to the Rhine Promenade to enjoy a glass or 2 of the local Riesling with dinner beside the river. (Overnight Bingen) B

DAY 8 – BINGEN TO FRANKFURT AIRPORT/END OF TOUR
On check out of your hotel, take the train directly to Frankfurt Airport, or speak to any of our Sales Consultants about extending your travels elsewhere. B
