DAY 1 - ARRIVE IN PARIS
Begin your vacation by arriving in the romantic city of Paris and checking in to your centrally located hotel for a two-night stay. Spend the rest of the day acquainting yourself with the landscapes, architecture and fine cuisine of the ‘City of Light'. (Overnight in Paris).

DAY 2 - PARIS
Explore the abundant history and world-famous beauty of Paris. Take a trip to the top of the Eiffel Tower for views over the sprawling city, examining the distinctive architecture up close by wandering through the lovely streets, or spend a sunny afternoon sailing down the Seine and observing landmarks from a different vantage point. DAY 3 - PARIS TO GENEVA
After breakfast at your hotel this morning, take the train to Geneva and check in to your hotel for an overnight stay. Make the most of your time in Geneva - spend the evening enjoying a tasty meal at a local lakeside restaurant, or take a relaxing boat trip out on the lake and admire the city's cosmopolitan feel and the stunning backdrop of the Alps and the Jura mountains. (Overnight in Geneva) B

DAY 4 - GENEVA TO FLORENCE
Enjoy breakfast in your hotel this morning before making your way to the train station to board a service to Florence via Milan. Enjoy one of the most scenic routes in Europe, the Simplon Pass, relaxing while the train follows the shores of Lake Leman and across Swiss vineyards, with stunning views of the Alps in the background. Travel further south after crossing the border into Italy and catching the transfer in Milan to Florence. Check in at your hotel for a two-night stay and begin enjoying the city. (Overnight in Florence) B

DAY 5 - FLORENCE
Explore Florence at your own pace today. No visit to the city is complete with a visit to the Duomo Basilica, marvel at its beautiful frescoes and spectacular dome that dominates the city's skyline. If you make the trip to the top, you'll be rewarded with quite phenomenal views over the umber rooftops of the city. Why not visit the museums housed at the Pitti Palace or take a stroll around the charming Boboli Gardens if the weather is nice? Don't miss a trip to see the magnificent collection of Renaissance art at the Uffizi Gallery, home to the works of artists such as Raphael and Michelangelo. Or you may wish to soak up the local architecture and visit some of the city's iconic churches, such as Santa Maria Novella and Santa Croce. (Overnight in Florence) B

DAY 6 - FLORENCE TO ROME
After breakfast in the hotel, take a train from Santa Maria Novella station and journey south, past charming rural villages and green fields, ahead of your arrival in Rome in the early afternoon. On arrival, make your way to your hotel and check in for a two-night stay. Acquaint yourself with the Eternal City; don't forget to throw a coin into the Trevi fountain, which is beautifully illuminated at night. (Overnight in Rome) B

DAY 7 - ROME
Spend a full day exploring Rome today. The city boasts an unparalleled heritage and a history that feels almost tangible. Walk in the steps of the gladiators at the imposing Colosseum, or head to the Vatican (Europe's smallest country) to explore the Sistine Chapel - complete with Michelangelo's intricate ceiling. Spend a pleasant afternoon strolling through the verdant Villa Borghese gardens before treating yourself to some delicious Italian cuisine at a traditional trattoria. (Overnight in Rome) B

DAY 8 - DEPART ROME
After breakfast this morning, check out of your hotel and continue with your travels. If you wish to extend your vacation, perhaps with an additional day in a different city, one of our Rail Vacation Specialists will be happy to assist you with the details. B
