Daily Itinerary:

DAY 1 - ARRIVE IN ROME
On arrival in Rome, check into your hotel for an overnight stay and set off to start exploring. Perhaps enjoy an ice-cold gelato on the Spanish steps and simply watch Roman life go by. (Overnight in Rome)

DAY 2 – ROME
Experience Imperial Rome on your included tour of the Roman Forum and Colosseum today. There is so much history and architecture to admire. (Overnight in Rome) B

DAY 3 – ROME
You’ll be picked up from your hotel for your included tour of the Vatican Museums, St. Peter’s Basilica, and the Sistine Chapel. Each attraction on this tour is a must-see when visiting Rome. (Overnight in Rome) B

DAY 4 – ROME TO SORRENTO
Travel from Rome to Naples onboard Trenitalia, then Naples to Sorrento (payable locally). Sorrento, the city of orange and lemon groves, is one of the most beautiful destinations in Europe and the gateway to the Amalfi Coast. Head into town this evening for a 2hr walking tour led by a local, then visit a traditional Campanian restaurant for dinner and enjoy some ice-cold limoncello B

DAY 5 – SORRENTO
Visit Centro Storico, Museo Correale Di Terranova, the Basilica di Sant’Antonino, Sedile Dominova, and Marina Grande. (Overnight in Sorrento) B

DAY 6 – SORRENTO TO FLORENCE
Board your train from Sorrento to Naples (payable locally) then Naples to Florence onboard Trenitalia. Spend the rest of your day discovering the birthplace of the Renaissance. (Overnight in Florence) B

DAY 7 – FLORENCE

DAY 8 – FLORENCE TO SIENA
Board Trenitalia to Siena, Italy’s medieval heart. The city’s main attractions are located Piazza del Campo and the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta. Start exploring Piazza del Campo and Piazza del Duomo at your leisure. (Overnight in Siena) B

DAY 9 – SIENA
A 2hr walking tour today will give you all the information you need of this open-air museum, packed with historic districts, artisanal boutiques, and delicious pastry shops. Spend your free time discovering the city’s crowd-pleasing attractions and hidden Tuscan gems. (Overnight in Siena) B

DAY 10 – SIENA TO SESTRI LEVANTE
Travel onboard Trenitalia from Siena to Empoli, Empoli to Pisa, and Pisa to Sestri Levante. Immediately begin discovering this beautiful town on the Ligurian Coast on your own. (Overnight in Sestri Levante) B

DAY 11 – SESTRI LEVANTE
Explore the walkable old town with many elegant shops and terrific seafood restaurants. Relax on the large sandy beach at the Bay of Silence or follow the path leading from the old town to Punta Manara for amazing panoramic views of the shoreline from Levanto to Portofino. DAY 12 – SESTRI LEVANTE TO COMO
Visit Como via a train change in Milan. Como features ancient churches, historic monuments, beautiful gardens, and of course, delicious cuisine. (Overnight in Como) B

DAY 13 – COMO
The town of Como is one that combines beautiful historic architecture with stunning natural beauty and today you will explore with the help of a local guide. The Centro Storico, old town is a maze of picturesque little streets, squares and pavement cafés. Wander around the shops and boutiques or visit one of the many cultural monuments the city has to offer. (Overnight in Como) B

DAY 14 – COMO
After breakfast this morning, continue to discover Como. The lake itself offers numerous opportunities for water sports, boat trips and even a spot of swimming. Perhaps take the funicular railway up to Brunate for panoramic views or why not just sit at a lakeside bar and take in the striking scenery? (Overnight in Como) B

DAY 15 – BERNINA EXPRESS
Travel from Como to Milan, Milan to Tirano, and then board the iconic red carriages of the Bernina Express to St. Moritz. The views from the train’s panoramic windows are absolutely stunning, and you’ll experience all the “Oohs” and “Aahs” you expected before boarding. (Overnight in St. Moritz) B

DAY 16 – ST. MORITZ

DAY 17 – GLACIER EXPRESS

DAY 18 – DAY TRIP TO GORNERGRAT
Travel onboard Europe’s highest open-air cog railway from Zermatt station to the summit of Gornergrat. This 33-minute ride travels over bridges, through tunnels, and past mountain lakes and forests. DAY 19 – ZERMATT TO ZURICH
Using your Swiss Flexi Pass, travel from Zermatt to Zurich via a change in Visp.
