DAY 1 – ARRIVE IN LA CORUNA
Upon arrival in La Coruna, check in at your hotel for a two-night stay. As the largest city in Galicia, La Coruna boasts plenty of exciting attractions flanking its beautiful coastline. If the weather is warm, begin your journey on the beach, or head to Orzán or Riazor for the finest people watching and restaurant options. (Overnight in La Coruna)
DAY 2 - LA CORUNA
For a taste of history, the Cidade Velha plays host to the best of the city's architecture and landmarks. Discover the archaeological museum within the imposing Castillo de San Anton, visit the famous Roman lighthouse Torre de Hércules or simply relax with a pint of the city's famous local beer: Estrella Galicia. DAY 3 - LA CORUNA TO SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA
Make your way to the train station this morning after breakfast at your hotel. Catch the train to Santiago de Compostela and check in at your hotel for a two-night stay. Santiago de Compostela is famous as being the final destination of the Pilgrim's Trail. Here, it is said, St James the Apostle was brought by a stone boat after his death in Palestine. No visit to the city is complete without a trip to the Cathedral, which itself is an architectural marvel and showcases an eclectic mix of architectural styles. St James' tomb is located beneath the Cathedral, where a sculpture represents the man himself. You can also visit the Pilgrimage Museum and the Cathedral Museum. DAY 4 - SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA
Discover the sights of Santiago de Compostela's Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on your private walking tour. You'll explore the squares around the cathedral with a guide who tells you stories about the history of the city and shows you places many visitors miss, like hidden squares, small streets, and the Mercado de Abastos. Plus, catch one of the best views of the cathedral.

DAY 5 - PONTEVEDRA
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before taking the train toward Pontevedra. Check in at your hotel on arrival for an overnight stay and then head out to explore the city. The city enjoys a reputation as the artistic hub of Galicia, its beautiful panoramas having inspired artists for centuries. The hillside location lends itself to wonderful views, with streets sloping down to the Lerez River. The river itself has two bridges that are worth visiting for wonderful photographs. The Ponte do Burgo was the sight of the defeat of French invaders who were trying to conquer Galicia, and the Pontesampaio Bridge is an impressive Roman structure. Listen to the ornate chapel, Capilla de la Peregrina's, bells chime on the hour, visit the medieval ruins La Iglesia de Santo Domingo, that form part of the Provincial Museum of Pontevedra or indulge in queixo galego (local cheese) brought fresh from the riverside farmers' market. DAY 6 - PONTEVEDRA TO VIGO
Check out of the hotel after breakfast and take the train to Vigo. Upon arrival, check into your hotel for a two-night stay. Spend your time in Vigo soaking up the history and culture of this port-side city. The Guia hill is a great place for unparalleled views of the city and is an important landmark having served sailors for centuries as a reference when entering the port. (Overnight in Vigo) B
DAY 7 - VIGO
Wander the old town, which slopes above the marina, indulge in fresh seafood or take a daytrip to Baiona, a short bus ride from Vigo and home to a quaint fishing port and the impressive Castelo de Monterreal. DAY 8 - VIGO TO PORTO
Take the train to Porto after breakfast and check in at your hotel for an overnight stay. The Portuguese city of Porto is a beautiful place to spend a day, and you will find a plethora of sights to visit using your hop on hop off city tour pass. From the river Douro the colorful houses line the hills and bell towers, churches and intricate architecture abound. The Ribeira district, Porto's historic center, is UNESCO listed and you will be able to see the port lodges on the opposite bank and the Dom Luís I Bridge from this incredible vantage point. Why not visit the Mercado do Bolhão, embroidered with local restaurants? The traditional market sells a wide variety of fresh and delicious produce and is a great place to stop for lunch.
