DAY 1 - ARRIVE IN BARCELONA
Arrive in Barcelona today and check in at your hotel for a three-night stay. Set out and explore the colorful city, basking in the sun amidst the mosaics of the Parc Guell, catching a boat out on the ocean or riding the cable car to the top of Montjuïc hill, where you'll be treated to delightful views over the city as well as a plethora of grand museums. (Overnight in Barcelona)

DAY 2 - BARCELONA
Spend some time wandering down the city's most famous shopping street, Las Ramblas, and soak up the bustling atmosphere among the shops and street artists of this tree-lined boulevard. Culture vultures might like to visit the Picasso Museum to view a huge collection of the famous artist's work. (Overnight in Barcelona) B

DAY 3 - BARCELONA
Take some time out to admire Gaudi's iconic architectural masterpieces throughout the city, such as the Sagrada Familia and Le Pedrera or perhaps visit the Natural History Museum. After a busy day sightseeing, treat yourself to a glass of locally made Sangria and delicious tapas. (Overnight in Barcelona) B

DAY 4 - BARCELONA TO MADRID
Enjoy breakfast in Barcelona before checking out of your hotel and making your way to the railway station, where you'll catch high-speed AVE train to Madrid. On arrival, check in at your hotel for a three-night stay. In the afternoon, why not take a stroll around the impressive Buen Retiro Park, one of the largest parks in all of Madrid, and a wonderful spot for people watching, architecture spotting and even boating on the shimmering lake. Later, you may wish to enjoy a drink along the Paseo de la Castellana or maybe the Gran Via, an elaborate and upmarket shopping street, known as the ‘Spanish Broadway'. (Overnight in Madrid) B

DAY 5 - MADRID
After breakfast the next morning, head out to one of the world-famous museums that make up Madrid's ‘Golden Triangle of Art'. We can highly recommend the masterpieces of the iconic Prado Museum. (Overnight in Madrid) B

DAY 6 - MADRID
Soak up the atmosphere spending another day exploring this vibrant city. Perhaps visit the Plaza de Cibeles; admire the grand architecture of its buildings and be entertained by live musicians and street performers. (Overnight in Madrid) B

DAY 7 - DEPART MADRID
After breakfast this morning, check out of your hotel and continue with your travels. If you wish to extend your vacation, perhaps with an additional day in a different city, one of our Rail Specialists will be happy to assist you with the details. B

Hospes Puerta De Alcala Madrid

The Hospes Madrid is a boutique luxury hotel located within a 19th century residence. Comprising 41 stylishly appointed guest rooms with Egyptian cotton sheets, and a choice of pillows from the pillow menu. The hotel also features a gourmet restaurant, spa and pool-jacuzzi. The hotel is located on the Plaza de la Independencia, a short walk from the Puerta de Alcalá square, Parque Retiro and the Prado Museum.

NH Collection Madrid Suecia

The NH Collection Madrid Suecia hotel, formerly known as NH Madrid Suecia, is in the heart of the city’s historic center. A trendy hotel on Madrid's Broadway, Gran Vía, it's ideal for shopping and musicals allike. Renovated in 2016, the hotel was originally opened in 1956 and served as Ernest Hemingway’s and the revolutionary Che Guevara's Madrid home.

H10 Puerta Alcala Madrid

The H10 Puerta de Alcalá is located near El Retiro Park, in Madrid's exclusive Salamanca neighbourhood. Fully refurbished in 2016, it includes elegant rooms, the Alcalá Restaurant for breakfasts, the Lobby Bar, specialising in gourmet coffee and serving delicious Mediterranean tapas, three meeting rooms and the impressive El Cielo de Alcalá terrace, situated on the top floor and featuring a plunge pool and panoramic views over the city.
