DAY 1 – ARRIVE IN BARCELONA
Arrive in Barcelona today and check in at your hotel for a three-night stay. Set out and explore the colorful city, basking in the sun amidst the mosaics of the Parc Guell, catching a boat out on the ocean or riding the cable car to the top of Montjuïc hill, where you'll be treated to delightful views over the city as well as a plethora of grand museums. (Overnight in Barcelona)

DAY 2 - BARCELONA
Spend some time wandering down the city's most famous shopping street, Las Ramblas, and soak up the bustling atmosphere among the shops and street artists of this tree-lined boulevard. Culture vultures might like to visit the Picasso Museum to view a huge collection of the famous artist's work. (Overnight in Barcelona) B

DAY 3 – BARCELONA
Take some time out to admire Gaudi's iconic architectural masterpieces throughout the city, starting with your skip the line guided tour of the Sagrada Familia included.  Then perhaps a visit to Le Pedrera or the Natural History Museum. After a busy day sightseeing, treat yourself to a glass of locally made Sangria and delicious tapas. (Overnight in Barcelona) B

DAY 4 – BARCELONA TO MADRID
Enjoy breakfast in Barcelona before checking out of your hotel and making your way to the railway station, where you'll catch high-speed AVE train to Madrid. On arrival, check in at your hotel for a three-night stay. In the afternoon, why not take a stroll around the impressive Buen Retiro Park, one of the largest parks in all of Madrid, and a wonderful spot for people watching, architecture spotting and even boating on the shimmering lake. Later, you may wish to enjoy a drink along the Paseo de la Castellana or maybe the Gran Via, an elaborate and upmarket shopping street, known as the ‘Spanish Broadway'. (Overnight in Madrid) B

DAY 5 - MADRID
After breakfast take full advantage of your hop-on-hop-off tickets to explore the city.  Get a description of the amazing architecture you’ll pass onboard and be sure to make a stop in barrio conte duque where there is a great selection of tapas bars and restaurants.  (Overnight in Madrid) B

DAY 6 – MADRID
Soak up the atmosphere spending another day exploring this vibrant city.  Head out to one of the world-famous museums that make up Madrid's ‘Golden Triangle of Art'. We can highly recommend the masterpieces of the iconic Prado Museum.  Perhaps visit the Plaza de Cibeles; admire the grand architecture of its buildings and be entertained by live musicians and street performers. (Overnight in Madrid) B

DAY 7 – DEPART MADRID
After breakfast this morning, check out of your hotel and continue with your travels. If you wish to extend your vacation, perhaps with an additional day in a different city, one of our Rail Specialists will be happy to assist you with the details. B
