Spend the night in London before traveling aboard the legendary Venice Simplon Orient Express to Venice and enjoying two full days exploring La Dominante, then head north to Switzerland via the spectacular Bernina Express. After two-nights relaxing by the lake in St Moritz board the iconic Glacier Express to the Alpine village of Zermatt and the historic Gornergrat railway with its breath-taking views of the Matterhorn mountain. DAY 1 - LONDON

Enjoy a night in the British capital tonight. Depending on your time of arrival be sure to take a stroll down the Mall to Buckingham Palace perhaps or grab a show in the West End. (Overnight London)

DAY 2-VENICE SIMPLON-ORIENT-EXPRESS

Make your way to London Victoria station for the journey of a lifetime aboard the historic carriages of the British Pullman. Enjoy a Champagne fuelled three-course lunch en-route to the coast, then once in Calais a brass band and red carpet welcome you onboard the Venice-Simplon-Orient-Express. After settling into your cabin head for dinner in one of the opulent dining cars, then perhaps celebrate the evening with a cocktail in the bar car. (Overnight onboard) B/L/D

DAY 3 - VENICE SIMPLON-ORIENT-EXPRESS/VENICE

Enjoy breakfast in your cabin as the train makes its way through the alps. Lunch is served as you cross into Italy and bid farewell to the historic train once you have arrived in Venice. A boat will transfer you down the Grand Canal to your hotel, where you will stay for the next three-nights. (Overnight Venice) B/L

DAY 4-VENICE

Discover the rich history of Venice this morning with a skip the line tour of the Doges Palace and beautiful Golden Basilica.  In the afternoon perhaps watch the world go by on St Mark's Square or treat yourself to a drink in Harry's Bar - the home of the Bellini. (Overnight Venice) B

DAY 5-VENICE

Spend a day at leisure in Venice today and explore at your own pace. Speak to any of our Travel Consultants should you like a trip out to the islands of Murano and Burano, or perhaps take a ride out to the Lido to relax on the beach. (Overnight Venice) B

DAY 6-BERNINA EXPRESS TO ST. MORITZ

It's an early start from Venice to Milan and Tirano today, but the onwards connection onboard the world-famous Bernina Express is worth it. The famous red train will snake its way from the palm tree lined valley of Tirano and Poschiavo up through snow covered mountain peaks and over spectacular bridges and viaducts to St Moritz. Check in to your hotel here for a 2-night stay, and here you will find your Engadin card included (May-Oct only) for free use of the local mountain railways and cable-cars. (Overnight in St. Moritz)?B

DAY 7-ST. MORITZ

From May - October your included Engadin card can be used for the funicular and cable-car ride to the vantage point of Piz Nair and some spectacular views across the Engadin valley. If you would prefer something a little more relaxed, take a scenic stroll around lake and enjoy the fresh alpine air. (Overnight St. Moritz) B

DAY 8-THE GLACIER EXPRESS

After breakfast at your hotel make your way to the station for a journey aboard the slowest express train in the world. The Glacier Express takes you over 291 bridges and through 91 tunnels. The views from the panoramic windows you pass mountain peaks, deep gorges and idyllic mountain villages is often breath-taking. The eight hours onboard will fly bye before you pull into car free Zermatt for a two-night stay. (Overnight Zermatt) B

DAY 9-GORNERGRAT DAY TRIP

At a time of your choosing take a ride up to 3090m above sea level on the historic Gornergrat cog railway. As the train climbs over bridges and through a fragrant forest of fir trees passengers are awarded with a spectacular view of the iconic Matterhorn mountain. At the top there are some gentle walking trails where you might catch a glimpse of a wild Chamois or Marmot, and when you are ready take the train back down the mountain and enjoy dinner in one of Zermatt's great local restaurants. DAY 10 - END OF TOUR

Bid farewell to the mountains as you take the train to Zurich airport for a flight home, or speak to any of our Travel Consultants about continuing your travels elsewhereB
