DAILY ITINERARY:

DAY 1 – ARRIVE IN ZURICH
Arrive in Zurich and take the included transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay. Once settled in, maybe peruse the shops along the Bahnhofstrasse, famed as one of the most attractive shopping streets in the world, or marvel at the works of Van Gogh, Rodin and Monet at the much-loved Kunsthaus art gallery. Alternatively, you may wish to learn about the history of Switzerland at the Landesmuseum. (Overnight in Zurich)

DAY 2 – ZURICH TO LAUSANNE
Take the train from Zurich to Lausanne and upon arrival, check in for an overnight stay. Set out to explore Lausanne. Located in the Swiss Canton of Vaud, the alpine resort is built on three hills and surrounded by vineyard-covered slopes. Narrow cobblestone alleyways dotted with cafés and boutiques and lovely hidden courtyards shape the streetscape. Stroll down to the waterfront district in the Ouchy neighborhood to dine, lounge, people watch, or take in the incredible mountain views. (Overnight in Lausanne)

DAY 3 – LAUSANNE TO GRINDELWALD
Enjoy a full day of jaw-dropping Swiss mountain scenery as you journey from Lausanne to Grindelwald via Montreux and the Golden Pass. First, take the train to Gstaad where you will leave your bags at the station and take a short bus ride before boarding a panoramic cable car to Glacier3000. Located in the middle of Switzerland’s renowned mountain peaks of Matterhorn, Jungfrau and Eiger, Glacier3000 is a breathtaking experience for all activity levels. At the top, a range of activities await you, from hiking and walking, enjoying lunch amongst the glaciers, or simply relaxing and taking in the 360-degree mountain and glacier views that surround you. There is nowhere else you can experience the highest suspension bridge in the world linking two mountain peaks! Later, return to Gstaad via cable car and bus to board the famous Golden Pass scenic train line for the journey to Grindelwald via Interlaken. Equipped with panoramic carriages, the train features sweeping views of the surrounding landscapes. On arrival in Grindelwald, check in at your hotel for a three-night stay. DAY 4 – GRINDELWALD
After breakfast this morning, discover picture-perfect Grindelwald at your leisure. Surrounded by dramatic mountain peaks and shimmering glaciers, one of Switzerland’s oldest resorts looks straight out of a fairytale, from the geranium -covered chalets to the gorgeous little shops and verdant pastures with grazing cows. Enjoy the many walking and hiking trails that surround the town, and don’t forget to sample some delicious fondue at one of the many fine restaurants that line the main street. DAY 5 – GRINDELWALD
After breakfast, take the Jungfrau Railway to Europe's highest altitude railway station on Jungfrau Mountain, at a colossal 11,332 feet high. The journey takes you to Kleine Scheidegg, before reaching the station at Eigergletscher, which is well known for its mountain restaurant and Huskies. At the top, take in the breath-taking views of the Black Forest in Germany and the Vosges Mountains in France. After a spectacular day sightseeing, return to the hotel for the second night of your stay. (Overnight in Grindelwald) B

DAY 6 – GRINDELWALD TO LUCERNE
Enjoy a final morning in Grindelwald before taking the train through Interlaken to Lucerne. Enjoy the picturesque ride along the magnificent shore of Lake Brienz from Interlaken to Lucerne, an ancient city known as the gateway to central Switzerland. This stunning town boasts delicious food, friendly locals, sunny plazas, waterfront promenades, and unforgettable countryside and mountain views. Oh, and you can’t forget the cheese! Prepare to indulge in some tranquility and relaxation. There’s a reason this city wins over so many travelers’ hearts. (Overnight in Lucerne) B

DAY 7 – LUCERNE
After breakfast at your hotel, take the incredible journey to the top of legendary Mount Pilatus via a cogwheel train, gondola and cable car ride (transport varies depending on the time of year). Once at the top, you'll find the historic Pilatus Kulm Hotel and restaurant where you can dine and enjoy refreshments. Discover countless walking trails for all activity levels to explore the area, but beware of the legendary dragon who has magical healing powers and lives in the mountain. After soaking up the wonderful 360-degree views, make your way down the mountain to Kriens before taking a short bus ride back to Lucerne. If you haven’t already, spend the rest of the day discovering the historic Chapel Bridge, wander through the Sammlung Rosengart museum, walk across the creaky 14th-century Kapellbrücke bridge, or make a stop at the Zytturm tower and its legendary clock. DAY 8 – LUCERNE TO ZURICH
Spend the morning enjoying more of Lucerne before heading to the train station for the short journey back to Zurich. Upon arrival in Zurich, check in at your hotel for a final overnight stay and enjoy any sights you may have missed at the beginning of the trip. (Overnight in Zurich) B

DAY 9 – DEPART ZURICH
After breakfast this morning, check out of your hotel and take the included shuttle to the Zurich Airport to continue with your travels. Romantik Wilden Mann Luzern

The Romantik Hotel Wilden Mann is a traditional hotel with 51 bedrooms and suites set over seven historic Lucerne townhouses. The hotel has two restaurants, fine dining in the Wilden Mann Stube, and the Burgerstube, serving regional Swiss cuisine. The hotel is located in the centre of Lucerne's old town, 200 metres from the famous Chapel Bridge and a few minutes walk to the train station.
