Travel via Madrid and the ancient city of Cordoba before crossing the straits of Gibraltar to Africa and the city of Tangier. Head west through Casablanca to the beautiful walled city of Marrakesh and enjoy all it has to offer from the thriving souks, maze of alleys and lanes and breath-taking medina. DAY 1 - MADRID 

Once you have arrived in the Spanish capital, make your way to your hotel for a 1-night stay. Pop your head into the Prado museum perhaps, or take a stroll along the beautiful Gran Via and Plaza Mayor. (Overnight Madrid)  

 

DAY 2 - CORDOBA 

In the morning take the train to Cordoba, and check-in for an overnight stay.  Head out to discover the ancient history found round every corner of this gorgeous city.  (Overnight Cordoba) B 

 

DAY 3 - TANGIER 

Take the train down to Algeciras then hop on the connecting bus to Tarifa from where the fast ferry departs bound for Africa.  On arrival in Tangier you will be met by a driver who will present you with your train tickets and escort you to your hotel.  (Overnight Tangier) B 

 

DAY 4 - TANGIER TO MARRAKESH 

Following breakfast, you will be collected from your hotel and escorted to the station for your train west, travelling in first class.  Change trains in Casablanca before arriving at Marrakesh where you will again be met by a driver and escorted to your hotel for a 4-night stay. (Overnight Marrakesh) B 

 

DAY 5 - MARRAKESH 

This morning head out to discover the city with a wonderful half day tour.  Visit the dramatic Almohad Koutoubia Minaret and the lavishly decorated Saadien Tombs.  Navigate the labyrinth of narrow alleyways that make up the Souks and finish at the Djemâa el Fna Square which is beautiful attack on the senses.  (Overnight Marrakesh) B 

 

DAY 6 - MARRAKESH 

Relax this morning, then in the afternoon you will be collected from your hotel/riad and driven out of the city to experience riding a Camel through some beautiful palm groves.  Then return to the city to enjoy your evening, perhaps with another visit to Djemâa el Fna Square which comes alive at night with food, music, colour, and magic.  (Overnight Marrakesh) B 

 

DAY 7 - MARRAKESH 

Enjoy a day at your own leisure today, exploring this wonderful city.  Relax sipping tea in a rooftop café or bar perhaps or visit the fascinating Maison de la Photographie to see a wonderful collection of Marrakesh past housed in a gorgeous riad.  Pop into the Yves Saint Laurent Museum perhaps, or explore the fragrant Jardin Majorelle (Overnight Marrakesh) B 

 

DAY 8 - END OF TOUR 

Bid farewell to Marrakesh as you are escorted from your hotel to the airport for your flight home or speak to any of our team if you would prefer to continue your travels elsewhere.  B
