Daily Itinerary

DAY 1 - MILAN
Upon arrival, make your way to your hotel and check in. Then, head out into the city on your two-hour rickshaw ride. We take you where others can't. See Milan from a truly unique point of view while your guide tells you all the fun facts you need to know. Milan is famous for good traditional cooking. Step into an old school trattoria and order aCotoletta or Costoletta alla Milanese in your best Italian accent (you’ll make friends whether you butcher it or not) and prepare for a bone-in veal cutlet fried in butter. Then, why not go to Ceresio 7, with a roof top view? Later tonight, try an after-hours cocktail at one of the swankiest bars in the city. (Overnight in Milan)

DAY 2 - MILAN TO VERONA
After an early breakfast, travel by first class rail to your next stop, Verona. You will be staying at Il Sogno di Giulietta, which is an exclusive Relais de Charme located in the most romantic spot in the city:  Romeo & Juliet’s Courtyard. This morning, you are taking part in a risotto and pasta cooking class led by an Italian chef; this hands-on cooking class teaches you to make traditional Italian dishes from scratch with fresh, seasonal ingredients. Then, once the food is prepared, sit down and indulge in an amazing meal complemented by local Italian wine. When you're done, take the recipes with you so you can recreate the meal when you return home. (Overnight in Verona) B, L

DAY 3 - VERONA
Enjoy breakfast in bed. Then, why not check out some of Verona’s must-see sights, like the four prominent Roman remains in the city? These include the amphitheater, the Arco dei Gavi, the Porta dei Borsari, and the ancient theater on the left bank of the Adige river. Aall within walking distance of your hotel. After you have lunch, it is time to venture out from the city of Verona and embark on a half-day small group tour to discover the wines of northern Italy. Visit a winery in Soave to learn about the ancient history of winemaking and sample local wines such as Soave sparkling and Superior DOCG. Later, head to a vineyard in Valpolicella and try the entire range of wines from this region, including Amarone and Ripasso. (Overnight in Verona) B

DAY 4 - VERONA TO VENICE
Catch your train to Venice to admire the amazing scenery en route. A transfer will collect you from the station and take you to your hotel. Once you’re checked in, grab lunch at one of the popular restaurants. Try a local dish like Sarde in saor. This delectable agrodolce, or sweet-sour dish, is a local delicacy. It consists of fried sardine fillets marinated in vinegar, onions, raisins and pine nuts. This afternoon escape the crowds on your next included excursion. Board the Bora cruiser in the St Marks area and visit two of the most famous Venetian islands. Murano is famous for its glass blowing art and Burano gives you an idea of how Venice used to be and is famous for its handmade laces. Finally, Torcello showcases its famous mosaics. DAY 5 – VENICE
This morning, enjoy some free time to explore Venice on your own before your afternoon tour through the lagoon city. Travel along the canals and meander through vibrant areas of the city. Glide down the Grand Canal with centuries old palaces on either side. Your tour concludes near a local selected restaurant where you will enjoy a four-course dinner with wine included. DAY 6 - VENICE TO BOLOGNA
Your next stop is Bologna, with your train arriving late in the morning. You will be collected from the hotel and transferred to the station. In the mid-afternoon, explore the historic streets of Bologna with your private guide who will meet you at your hotel. See historic sites like the Basillica di San Petronio, as well as the hidden gems only locals know about. The places you visit will be chosen by your host based on your interests and preferences. DAY 7 - BOLOGNA TO FLORENCE
Upon arrival in Florence, you will be met at the station and transferred to your hotel where you can leave your bags before joining your secret food tour. The culinary tour lasts for about three and a half hours and involves some walking, so be sure to bring comfortable footwear. Florence is a charming and international city, especially in terms of gastronomy. Our mission is to show you the places where locals meet and eat, as well as the region's secret streets and monuments. You'll eat and drink like a true Florentine and understand the history of the most amazing city in Italy. (Overnight in Florence) B, L

DAY 8 – FLORENCE
Spend an entire day (from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.) exploring the enchanted villages of the Cinque Terre on this full-day trip from Florence. Discover the charming towns of Manarola, Riomaggiore, Monterosso, Vernazza, and La Spezia by train, boat, and bus. You'll have plenty of time to navigate narrow walkways and steep staircases, as well as plunge into the ocean. Transportation to and from a centrally located meeting point in Florence is included. DAY 9 - FLORENCE TO ROME
A transfer will take you to the station for your final rail journey to Rome. Upon arrival, take a taxi and relax in the beautiful surroundings your boutique hotel has to offer before tonight’s included luxurious Italian dinner at a family-run restaurant near the Pantheon. Hosted by a culinary connoisseur, this evening experience includes local specialties, from pasta to a meat dish to dessert. Each course is accompanied by a glass of regional wine, and the evening starts with a classic Italian aperitivo in the private cellar where you enjoy a glass of prosecco served with cured meat and cheeses. DAY 10 – ROME
Enjoy a VIP experience at the Vatican with your morning tour that includes an Italian American breakfast buffet in the Pinecone Courtyard. You’ll explore the Vatican Museums before they open to the general public so you can admire famous sights like the Sistine Chapel to see Michelangelo’s The Last Judgment and Raphael’s Rooms, Gallery of Maps and the Gallery of Tapestries with a guide in a more intimate atmosphere before finishing with skip-the-line access to St Peter’s Basilica through a reserved entrance.  Rest of the day is at leisure (Overnight in Rome) B

DAY 11 – YOUR JOURNEY ENDS IN ROME
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport where your tour concludes.

Locanda Vivaldi

Hotel Locanda Vivaldi was inaugurated at the end of 1999, after painstaking and long restructuring works on the building adjacent to the Church of Pietà.

In 1703 Antonio Vivaldi was ordained a priest and started to work as a violin teacher in the Pietà conservatory, where he remained until 1740.

Starhotels Anderson Milan

Il Sogno di Giulietta

The Only accommodation inside Juliet's Courtyard. An important renovation gave birth to this reality and its rooms that are decorated with antique furniture and adorned with antique rugs, curtains and fine art objects. The Rooms are situated on two sides of the house; some have a direct view of Juliet's balcony, the other on Piazza Erbe and the elegant Via Cappello, a pedestrian street in the historical centre of Verona. In the evening, the access gate to the Courtyard is closed and the guests can enjoy the incomparable atmosphere of the garden at night attended by Romeo and reach their rooms through a unique path.

All rooms are characterised by wood parquet flooring, beamed ceilings, bathrooms with single or double jacuzzi bath tub and features such as mini-bar, flat screen tv with satellite channels and free wi-fi internet. The continental breakfast, which is served exclusively in the privacy of the room, includes a wide choice of local products.
