DAY 1 - ARRIVE BANGKOK
Welcome to Bangkok! Upon arrival, check in at your hotel for an overnight stay and begin exploring this fascinating city. Perhaps visit the iconic Wat Arun temple, with its towering spires and glazed porcelain façade. Or head to Chinatown Market for the city's best tasting and most reasonable priced cuisine. Or for a more extravagant experience, once the sun goes down, visit one of the many rooftop bars for spectacular drinks and 360 degree views of the glittering skyline. (Overnight in Bangkok)

DAY 2 - ONBOARD EASTERN & ORIENTAL EXPRESS
After breakfast in your hotel this morning, enjoy more of Bangkok's sights before being transferred to Hualamphong Station to begin your journey on the Eastern & Oriental Express. After being welcomed aboard the gold and green-liveried carriages, settle into your compartment. Dinner is served as the train leaves the city behind and travels into the Thai countryside of rice-fields and villages. After a delicious meal, retire to your compartment, now transformed into a comfortable bedroom by your personal steward. (Overnight on Eastern & Oriental Express) B, L, D

DAY 3 - GUIDED CRUISE ALONG RIVER KWAI
Early risers will catch the excitement of the train making its way along the trestle viaduct from Wang Po. Later, the train arrives at River Kwai Bridge Station, where you will disembark for a river cruise on board a local raft. During the cruise, a local historian provides a brief overview of the history of the Thailand-Burma railway and the bridge. Disembark for a visit to the Thailand Burma Railway Centre and, for those who wish, the Don Rak War Cemetery. Re-join the train for lunch and a relaxing afternoon followed by dinner and a further night on board. (Overnight on the Eastern & Oriental Express) B, L, D

DAY 4 - TOUR OF UBUDIAH MOSQUE, KUALA KANGSAR
Enjoy breakfast in your cabin as the train enters Malaysia and journeys through the picturesque landscape. Lunch is served before arriving in Kuala Kangsar for your guided tour of this fascinating royal town. You'll visit the Ubudiah Mosque, the Royal Museum of Perak and the Sultan Shah Gallery. After the tour, return to the train, perhaps visiting the observation car before another spectacular dinner and a final night on board. (Overnight on the Eastern & Oriental Express) B, L, D

DAY 5 - ARRIVE SINGAPORE
Arrive in Singapore today and bid farewell to the train. Transfer from the station to your hotel for a two-night stay. Set out to explore this bustling, culturally diverse city, perhaps enjoying dinner at one of the fine restaurants the city is known for. (Overnight in Singapore) B

DAY 6 - SINGAPORE
Enjoy discovering Singapore at your leisure today, or if you prefer, one of our Rail Specialists can help you book a half-day sightseeing tour, with visits to the Padang, Cricket Club, Parliament House, Supreme Court, City Hall, Thian Hock Keng Temple and the National Orchid Garden. DAY 7 - DEPART SINGAPORE
