Daily Itinerary:

DAY 1 – ARRIVE IN MONTPELLIER
On arrival in Montpellier, check in at your hotel for a two-night stay. Spend your evening getting to know this elegant city in the heart of the Languedoc-Roussillon region, only a stone's throw from the sun-kissed Mediterranean Sea. (Overnight in Montpellier)

DAY 2 - MONTPELLIER
Spend the day at your leisure today discovering more of sunny Montpellier. Stroll the Place de la Comedie, an impressive 18th century square, and discover the city’s maze of medieval streets, leading to fascinating sights such as Louis XIV’s Arc de Triomphe. The city’s sunny climate provides a vibrant social scene full of artists and writers and university students, making for excellent people watching. And Montpellier has plenty to offer when it comes to a tasty meal, with Rue des Ecoles Laiques and nearby rue du Pila Saint Gely offering a variety of styles, including Italian, Moroccan, Turkish, Lebanese and, of course, French cuisine. DAY 3 - MONTPELLIER TO BARCELONA
After breakfast, take the train over the Spanish border and into Barcelona. On arrival, check in at your hotel for a three-night stay. After you've settled in, head out to begin your exploration of the city. Maybe visit the oldest area of the city, the Gothic Quarter, lined with Gaudi's streetlights and buildings dating back to medieval times. Stop in Mercat de la Boqueria for a fresh coconut juice and a fabulous insight into the world of Spanish cuisine. (Overnight in Barcelona) B

DAY 4 - BARCELONA
After breakfast embark on a tour of Gaudi's 2 master piece’s; Casa Batlló and the spectacular Sagrada Familia. After, spend time wandering along the city’s most famous shopping street, Las Ramblas. This tree-lined boulevard is packed with plenty of street artists, shops and great places to sit and people watch., Or why not visit the Picasso Museum to view a huge collection of the famous artist’s world. DAY 5 - BARCELONA
After breakfast, maybe head to the biggest aquarium in Europe, the Barcelona Aquarium, and walk through the center of a shark tank in a huge glass tunnel. After a busy day sightseeing, treat yourself to a glass of locally made Sangria and delicious cuisine, including the city’s world-famous tapas. (Overnight in Barcelona) B

DAY 6 – DEPART BARCELONA
After breakfast this morning, check out of your hotel and continue with your travels. If you wish to extend your vacation, perhaps with an additional day in a different city, one of our Rail Specialists would be happy to help you make these arrangements. B
