DAY 1 - LONDON TO AVIGNON
Catch the train from London's St Pancras Station, steaming either directly to Avignon or changing in Paris or Lille. Feel free to stop for lunch in your transfer city if you'd like. Roll through French countryside, through Provence to Avignon. On arrival, check in at the De L'Horloge Avignon for a two night stay.

In Avignon, the beauty of Provence is on your doorstep. The city is established behind medieval walls and has many UNESCO World Heritage listed monuments. Spend your evening exploring the Place de L'horloge, Avignon's main square with plenty of spots to stop and enjoy dinner with a side of people watching. (Overnight in Avignon).

DAY 2 - AVIGNON
Spend a full day sightseeing in Avignon today, perhaps taking a walking tour or booking skip the line tickets to the Pope's Palace. In the 14th century, the Pope moved to Avignon from Rome and this gave birth to the incredible Palais des Papes, which today boasts the world's largest gothic edifice. Original decoration is still visible here in the Chapels and Palais Neuf. Alternatively, why not speak to your Travel Consultant about organising a tour of Provence's famed lavender fields?

Don't miss a trip to the Pont d'Avignon, which crosses the River Rhône made famous by the song of that shares its name. (Overnight in Avignon). B

DAY 3 - AVIGNON TO LONDON
Enjoy a delicious breakfast in your hotel this morning, before catching the train back from Avignon. Travel through France and connect back to London. Ask us about the direct rail options, or about travelling back to your home station in the UK. B
