Lake Louise, AB
The glistening waters of glacial Lake Louise have graced the front of many a picture postcard. Perfect for hiking and climbing in the summer, skiing and ice-skating in the winter and taking jaw-dropping photographs all year round, Lake Louise is a beautiful glacial lake in the Rockies and also a hamlet of the same name. The elevated area of the village is clustered around the stunning Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise where you can hire a boat to take out on the lake, or just enjoy the views. Named after Princess Louise, one of Queen Victoria's daughters; the lakes are certainly a ‘must see’ on any itinerary through the Rockies.
