Zaragoza

Situated on the banks of the Ebro River, Zaragoza is a beautiful city in the autonomous community of Aragon, with a wealth of magnificent buildings and monuments. The city boasts a huge wealth of wonderful architecture including the UNESCO World Heritage listed Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar, with its frescoes by Francisco Goy. Don’t miss the Santa Maria Magdalena Church, another great example of the local Mudéjar architecture. Visit in October to catch the famous Fiestas del Pilar, a huge and popular festival celebrating the patron saint of the city.
