Isle of Skye
Famous for its breathtaking scenery and landscapes, Isle of Skye is one of Scotland’s top destinations, particularly for walkers and climbers. The 50-mile long island features a number of notable villages, each with its own unique history and attractions, as well as museums, galleries, pubs and restaurants. Not to be missed are the two main castles – for Clan MacDonald and Clan MacLeod – with impressive grounds and gardens that provide a pristine glimpse into the history of the region. As you tour the island, you are also likely to see some of the wildlife that make the area home, including whales, dolphins, red deer and a wide array of birds.
