GoldenPass Line
The GoldenPass Line connects central Switzerland and Lake Geneva. Leaving Montreux, the train rises above Lake Geneva with magnificent views of the Lake region. At Jaman, it plunges through a mountain tunnel, before heading for the resorts of Châteaux d’Oex and Gstaad.
The train reaches its highest point (1,274m) before reaching Zweisimmen, from where the traveller can continue the trip with the GoldenPass Panoramic towards Interlaken and Lucerne.
From Zweisimmen, the GoldenPass Line winds through the Simme Valley (home of the famous Swiss Simmental cows) and alongside the shores of five lakes, before travelling up to the Brünig Pass. Finally the journey ends in historic Lucerne.

From Montreux to Zweisimmen, Interlaken to Lucerne there is a railbar service. Between Interlaken and Lucerne there is a dining carriage which serves breakfast and dinner.
The GoldenPass Line offers two types of carriages:
Panoramic – Modern carriages with panoramic carriages in 1st and 2nd class
Classic – Traditional Orient Express belle époque carriages
Route: (Zurich –) Lucerne – Brünig Pass – Interlaken – Zweisimmen – Montreux (– Geneva)
