Working with the Media

Working with the media is a fundamental part of our growth as we recognise the influence that journalists have in helping people decide where to travel. Inspiring editorial content combined with a great package deal (from us) can turn the armchair traveller into a travelling customer. Our Media and Communications services are managed by Sheila Manzano who is an in-house member of the Railbookers team.

Sheila’s own travel has seen her wandering the globe for almost 20 years. So, like you, she has a love of travel, culture, people and food (and champagne she adds!). Her background in the travel industry has given her many contacts and an understanding of the travel industry as well as the ever changing world of media. This enables her to provide an efficient service, catering to your needs as a journalist/publication.

We can work in a variety of ways – whichever suits you best.

1. Email or call Sheila for a chat. It’s the best way to identify how we can possibly work together. This first step can lead to exciting opportunities which we can create together. It puts you on our radar and hopefully us on yours too!
2. When you have a confirmed commission, contact me with your request for sponsored travel, confirming the publication in which your feature will be published, feature size, angle and expected date for publication.
3. Register with the media database www.dwpub.com which we use as a tool when sourcing journalists/media outlets to work with.

Press Travel

Journalists writing for National & International newspapers can contact us with destinations that are scheduled to be featured. We are also a reliable source of knowledge about new product, routes and trains.

Over the last 18 months we have hosted a number of hosted group press trips catering for regional press and freelance journalists. Destinations have included Prague, Reims, Bruges, Luxembourg, Trier, Koblenz and more! If you would like to join a group press trip in 2012 please let me know.
