Day 1 - London to Zurich
Zurich
Travel from London to Paris by Eurostar, before transferring onto the train to Zurich. On arrival check-in for 1 night at the Schweizerhof Hotel.
Enjoy your overnight stay in one of Switzerland's most scenic city's. Not only famous for its financial features, Zurich is a joy to visit due to its of impressive landscapes, charming cobbled streets and quality cuisine.
Take a walk along the beautiful Lake Zurich or stop in one of the many museums dotted around the city, before sampling some traditional Swiss fare such as raclette, sauerkraut or delicious fondue.

Days 2-5 - Venice
Venice
Day 2 take the train from Zurich through the Swiss Alps along the Gotthard Pass. Look out for glimpses of Lake Lugano on the border with Italy. The train travels down to Milan before travelling to Venice (keep an eye out for views over Lake Como and Garda along the way).
Arrive in Venice where you check in for a 3 night stay at the Palazzo Giovanelli Venice. Spend the evening dining on traditional Venetian cuisine and admiring the gorgeous scenery in one of the local restaurants.
Discover the numerous attractions of this magical City. St Martins Basilica, Piazza San Marco and the Doge's Palace to name a few. Treat yourself to a classic gondola ride through the maze of canals before tucking in to some cicchetti (Italian tapas), washed down with a glass of sparkling prosecco.

Day 5-6 - Venice Simplon-Orient-Express
Orient-Express
Board the splendid Wagons-Lits carriages of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express at Venice Santa Lucia station. Your steward will show you to your private compartment, before you enjoy a three-course lunch as you gaze at the beautiful passing scenery of the Italian Dolomites, the Austrian and Swiss Alps. Afternoon tea is served in your compartment. A four-course dinner is served in the evening.
The next morning breakfast is served in your compartment before train pulls into Paris Gare de l’Est and halts for 40 minutes, a delicious brunch is served in the restaurant cars as you travel on towards the French coast for the Channel crossing.
Join the cream and umber carriages of the British Pullman for the journey to London. A traditional English afternoon tea accompanied by a glass of champagne is served to you at your table and you watch the gentle scenery of Kent pass by. Suddenly, you are drawing into London Victoria station.

Itinerary - 5 Night Luxury Holiday By Rail
Day 1-2 - London to Zurich
Zurich
Travel from London to Paris by Eurostar, before transferring onto the train to Zurich. On arrival check-in for 1 night at the Schweizerhof Hotel.
Enjoy your overnight stay in one of Switzerland's most scenic city's. Not only famous for its financial features, Zurich is a joy to visit due to its of impressive landscapes, charming cobbled streets and quality cuisine.
Take a walk along the beautiful Lake Zurich or stop in one of the many museums dotted around the city, before sampling some traditional Swiss fare such as raclette, sauerkraut or delicious fondue.
Days 2 - 5 - Venice
Venice
Day 2 take the train from Zurich through the Swiss Alps along the Gotthard Pass. Look out for glimpses of Lake Lugano on the border with Italy. The train travels down to Milan before travelling to Venice (keep an eye out for views over Lake Como and Garda along the way).
Arrive in Venice where you check in for a 3 night stay at the Bauer Hotel Venice. Spend the evening dining on traditional Venetian cuisine and admiring the gorgeous scenery in one of the local restaurants.
Discover the numerous attractions of this magical City. St Martins Basilica, Piazza San Marco and the Doge's Palace to name a few. Treat yourself to a classic gondola ride through the maze of canals before tucking in to some cicchetti (Italian tapas), washed down with a glass of sparkling prosecco.

Day 5-6 - Venice Simplon-Orient-Express
Orient Express
Board the splendid Wagons-Lits carriages of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express at Venice Santa Lucia station. Your steward will show you to your private compartment, before you enjoy a three-course lunch as you gaze at the beautiful passing scenery of the Italian Dolomites, the Austrian and Swiss Alps. Afternoon tea is served in your compartment. A four-course dinner is served in the evening.
The next morning breakfast is served in your compartment before train pulls into Paris Gare de l’Est and halts for 40 minutes, a delicious brunch is served in the restaurant cars as you travel on towards the French coast for the Channel crossing.
Join the cream and umber carriages of the British Pullman for the journey to London. A traditional English afternoon tea accompanied by a glass of champagne is served to you at your table and you watch the gentle scenery of Kent pass by. Suddenly, you are drawing into London Victoria station.
Zurich
For passengers travelling by train to Venice, Zurich is a perfect overnight city stop for travellers going by train through the Swiss Alps. Explore the charming old town area, shop along the famous Bahnhofstrasse, or relax in a bar in the vibrant Niederdorf area.
Venice
Venice with its unique atmosphere offers unforgettable experiences from the opulent Doge's Palace to the bustling Grand Canal. Hop on a vaporetti (Venice's water taxis) to discover the canals, and see the classic Palazzos, or explore on foot the tiny streets and beautiful bridges.
Cabins
Travelling in private cabins impeccably restored to their former glory, passengers are assured of a truly unique travel experience complemented by the very best personal service.
Each cabin has an original washbasin cabinet with hot and cold water, and at night-time becomes a comfortable bedroom, with soft towels and crisp linen. Double Cabins feature a single cabin room, whilst our Cabin Suites feature the ultimate luxury of two inter-connecting cabins. Toilet facilities are available in each carriage, luxuriously appointed and maintained to the highest standards by our stewards.
Dining
All dishes are freshly prepared on the train by skilled French chefs. Lunch, dinner and brunch are served by the Italian waiters in one of the three individually styled Restaurant Cars: Lalique, Etoile du Nord or Chinoise. Breakfast and afternoon tea are served to passengers in the comfort of the train's luxury cabins. Table d'hôte meals are included in the fare, while an à la carte menu and 24-hour compartment service is available additionally. The Maitre D' will come to your cabin to take your lunch and dinner reservations in advance of your meal.

Schweizerhof Hotel
The Schweizerhof Hotel in Zurich is a traditional family-run hotel, with 115 comfortable and elegant bedrooms. Guests are provided with a butler service on arrival (Monday to Friday), a welcome cocktail at the bar and fresh fruit in their bedroom. The hotel has a French restaurant, a bustling café, and guests enjoy a champagne American style buffet breakfast. The hotel is opposite the main railway station, on the famous "Bahnhofstrasse".

Bauer Hotel Venice
The Bauer Hotel is a luxurious hotel with 91 bedrooms and 18 suites. All bedrooms have been recently renovated in Venetian design and feature modern facilities perfectly blended into an old-world atmosphere.
When the weather allows, buffet breakfast is served on the Bauer Terrace, while in the evening cocktails can be enjoyed here along with spectacular views of the Grand Canal and the famous Venice landmark, the Chiesa della Salute.
