Itinerary - 7 Night Holiday By Air + Rail
Day 1 - London to Zurich
Zurich
Travel on the Eurostar to Paris, where you transfer onto the famous TGV train to Zurich. Speed through the French Champagne region passing quaint French villages and picturesque countryside before arriving into Zurich in time for dinner.
Check in at the Schweizerhof Hotel for your overnight stay.
Zurich is Switzerland's most cosmopolitan and elegant city, situated on the banks of the river Limmat. The city features an impressive number of art galleries and museums, among which are the Swiss National Museum and the Kunsthaus. Spend the evening by the lake in the old town district of Niederdorf, famous for its bars, restaurants, lounges and fashion shops for the young and stylish.

Day 2 - Zurich to Venice
Lake Como
Day 2 take the train from Zurich through the Swiss Alps along the Gotthard Pass, look out for glimpses of Lake Lugano on the Swiss border with Italy. The train travels down to Milan before travelling to Venice (keep an eye out for views over Lake Como and Garda along the way). After a quick change over in Milan you arrive into Venice's famous Santa Lucia station in the early afternoon.
Days 2-4 - Venice
Venetian gondolas
Arrive in Venice, and check into your hotel the Ai Mori d' Oriente Hotel.
Stretched across 117 islands within the Venetian Lagoon, Venice is one of a kind. Famed for its artists, romance and beauty, Venice is never a disappointment whether you are visiting for the first time or many times. Spend your days discovering the numerous attractions of this enchanting City. St Martins Basilica, Piazza San Marco and the Doge's Palace to name a few. Treat yourself to a classic gondola ride through the maze of canals before tucking in to some cicchetti (Italian tapas), washed down with a glass of sparkling prosecco.
Day 4, depart Venice Santa Lucia train station on the Eurostar Italia train for your journey through Padua and Bologna. The train has a dining car where lunch can be enjoyed whilst travelling through Italy. The train takes just over 2 hours.
Days 4-6 - Florence
Florence
On arrival in Florence check-in for your 2 night stay at the Hotel Kraft Florence.
Spend the afternoon visiting some of the delightful sights of Florence. Take a walk through the buzzing squares of Piazza San Giovanni (with its spectacular cathedral), the Piazza della Signoria and Santa Croce featuring Renaissance palaces decorated with frescos. Days 6-8 - Rome
Trevi Fountain
Travel from Florence to Rome by train, where you check-in for a 2 night stay at the Hotel Veneto.
Discover the Eternal City at your own pace. From the striking walls of the Colosseum to the sacred Vatican City, Rome is the largest open-air musuem in the world. Stop for an ice-cream on the steps of the Trevi fountain or wait until dinner to enjoy a proper Roman pizza is one of the countless trattorias.
Don’t miss a stroll around some of the beautiful museums of Rome. The Vatican museum holds a superb collection as well as housing the Sistine Chapel. The Capitoline displays ancient Roman artifacts and the Borghese Gallery is world-renowned for its impressive artworks.

Day 9 - Turin to London
D'Aosta Valley
After breakfast take the train to Paris which travels through the D'Aosta Valley (look out for glimpses of Mont Blanc). On arrival in Paris transfer onto the Eurostar to London.

Day 2 - Zurich to Venice
Gotthard Pass
Day 2 take the train from Zurich through the Swiss Alps along the Gotthard Pass, look out for glimpses of Lake Lugano on the Swiss border with Italy. The train travels down to Milan before travelling to Venice (keep an eye out for views over Lake Como and Garda along the way). After a quick change over in Milan you arrive into Venice's famous Santa Lucia station in the early afternoon.
Days 2-4 - Venice
From Venice to Florence

Days 4-6 - Florence
Florence
On arrival in Florence check-in for your 2 night stay at the Savoy Florence Hotel.

Venice

After breakfast take the train to Paris which travels through the D'Aosta Valley (look out for glimpses of Mont Blanc). On arrival in Paris transfer onto the Eurostar to London.
