Itinerary - 5 Night Holiday By Air + Rail
Day 1 - London to Zurich
Zurich
Travel from London to Paris by Eurostar, then transfer onto the TGV EST train which zips through the French countryside at speeds of 320 kmph. On arrival in Zurich you check in at your hotel the Helmhaus Zurich for your overnight stay.
Spend the evening by the lake in the old town district of Niederdorf, famous for its bars, restaurants, lounges and fashion shops for the young and stylish. Sample Swiss delicacies such as fondue or raclette before enjoying a walk along the charming streets alongside Lake Zurich. Don’t miss the impressive Fraumünster and Grossmünster churches, whose clock faces stare at each other across the River Limmat.
Day 2 - Zurich to Florence
The following morning take the train from Zurich to Florence via Milan enjoying spectacular scenery as you cross the Gotthard Pass with amazing views of the Swiss Alps. The train then travels down into the Italian speaking Swiss region of Ticino, passing by Lake Lugano and carrying on into Italy with glimpses of Lake Como and Milan before arriving in Florence.

Visit the most famous museum in Florence, the Uffizi which houses works by Botticelli, Leonardo Da Vinci and Michelangelo. Alternatively visit more of Italy's famous churches such as the San Lorenzo, Santa Maria Novella and Santa Croce.
Days 4-6 - Rome
Trevi Fountain
Depart Florence Santa Maria Novella train station for the 1 hour 40 minute first class train journey to Rome. Pass quaint Italian villages and rolling fields all from the comfort of your seat.

Travel by train in First Class from Rome to Turin for a 1 night stay at the Town House 70 Turin.
Enjoy strolling the streets of Turin for an afternoon. Itinerary - 6 Night Luxury Holiday By Rail
Day 1 - London to Zurich
Travel from London to Paris by Eurostar, then transfer onto the TGV EST train which zips through the French countryside at speeds of 320 kmph. On arrival in Zurich you check in at your hotel the Schweizerhof Hotel for your overnight stay.
Spend the evening by the lake in the old town district of Niederdorf, famous for its bars, restaurants, lounges and fashion shops for the young and stylish. Sample Swiss delicacies such as fondue or raclette before enjoying a walk along the charming streets alongside Lake Zurich. Don’t miss the impressive Fraumünster and Grossmünster churches, whose clock faces stare at each other across the River Limmat.

Day 2 - Zurich to Florence
From Zurich to Florence
The following morning take the train from Zurich to Florence via Milan enjoying spectacular scenery as you cross the Gotthard Pass with amazing views of the Swiss Alps. The train then travels down into the Italian speaking Swiss region of Ticino, passing by Lake Lugano and carrying on into Italy with glimpses of Lake Como and Milan before arriving in Florence.

Days 2-4 - Florence
Florence
Spend 2 days in Florence at your own leisure. Take a day trip to another of Tuscany's pretty destinations such as Siena or Lucca or discover the reasons behind Florence's reputation as the "capital of art". Visit the most famous museum in Florence, the Uffizi which houses works by Botticelli, Leonardo Da Vinci and Michelangelo. Alternatively visit more of Italy's famous churches such as the San Lorenzo, Santa Maria Novella and Santa Croce.

Days 4-6 - Rome
Rome Colloseum
Depart Florence Santa Maria Novella train station for the 1 hour 40 minute first class train journey to Rome. Pass quaint Italian villages and rolling fields all from the comfort of your seat.

Discover the Eternal City at your own pace. From the striking walls of the Colosseum to the sacred Vatican City, Rome is the largest open-air museum in the world. Days 6-7 - Turin
Turin
Travel by train in First Class from Rome to Turin for a 1 night stay at the Grand Hotel Sitea Turin.
Enjoy strolling the streets of Turin for an afternoon. As a city with numerous cultural institutions such as the Palazzo Carignano, home to the first Italian Parliament and the Chapel of the Holy Shroud, Turin is a dynamic and important part of Italian history. End your evening with a taste of Turin's famous "slow food movement" concept promoting fabulous local flavours and combining classic Italian combinations. Delicacies such as the seafood fritto misto and delicious gianduiotti chocolates are a must try on your visit.
Day 7 - Turin to London
After breakfast, take the train (in First Class) from Turin to Paris, this time seeing the French Alps, and travelling on through to Paris transfer onto the Eurostar to London.
Florence
Florence is a stunning city with cultural gems around every corner. Visit Michelangelo's David at the Galleria dell'Accademia, or head to the Uffizi gallery for works of art by Leonardo da Vinci, Botticelli and Giotto.
Rome
Rome is known as the Eternal City, with historic architecture including the Colosseum, the independent state of the Vatican and trattorias, you must throw a coin in the Trevi Fountain to ensure your return trip to Rome!
Turin
Famous as the home of the slow food movement and car manufacture, Turin is a buzzing city. Visit some of the city's museums and galleries, sample the local gourmet specialities.
Zurich
Zurich has plenty to offer travellers looking for a laid back break from everyday life. Take a stroll along the winding streets in the old town or relax by the lake.
