Itinerary - 4 Night Holiday by Air + Rail

Day 1

London to Cologne

Take the train from London to Brussels and connect on to the high speed service to Cologne. Spend an afternoon looking around this historic Rhineland city before heading back to the station for your sleeper train to Vienna. Settle into your private compartment for the night. Snacks and drinks are available from the car attendant during your journey.

Days 2 to 4

Vienna

Arrive into Vienna first thing in the morning, disembark and check in at the K & K Hotel Palais Vienna for a 3 night stay.

From Weiner Schnitzel to the Viennese Waltz, the city of Vienna is known all over the world as a centre of culture, art, music, and food.

Discover one of the city’s exciting museums such as the Museum of Fine Arts or the funky Kunsthaus, designed by colourful architect and artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser. Follow in the footsteps of the Habsburgs with a visit to the baroque Belvedere and Schönbrunn Palaces. Enjoy a performance at the Spanish Riding School. Or take a boat cruise down the Blue Danube.

Day 5

Vienna to London

After breakfast in the hotel, head to the airport for your flight back to London.

The elegant city of Vienna is a haven for art lovers, with fabulous galleries ranging from the Kunsthistorisches Museum and the unique collection of Klimt works at the Belvedere Palace to temporary exhibitions at the Kunsthaus, designed by architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser. Music buffs will also be in their element with a huge choice of classical concerts featuring local heroes such as Johann Strauss, Mozart and Schubert. Don’t miss a slice of Sacher torte accompanied by a traditional Viennese coffee at the Sacher Hotel.
