Vladivostok

Vladivostok

The historic city of Vladivostok is one of Russia's most important ports on the Pacific Ocean. Visit Sportivnaya Harbour, or catch a glimpse of the Russian Pacific Navy fleet at Golden Horn Bay. Explore the natural history at the Arsenev Regional History Museum.

Moscow

Moscow

Moscow is a mighty capital city with some iconic attractions including the Red Square, the Kremlin, Lenin’s Tomb, containing the Communist leader’s embalmed body, St Basil’s Cathedral and Gorky Park. Make sure you have a look around the grand and ornately decorated State Historical Museum, just next to the Kremlin. Some of the stations on the metro resemble underground stately homes and are well worth a visit!

The Golden Eagle Trans-Siberian Express is a new train which brings unprecedented luxury to the word's greatest train journey. The Golden Eagle train transports you from Vladivostok to Moscow.

The 12 ensuite sleeping cars feature state of the art amenities. 77sq ft (7 sq m) Gold Class cabins are spacious and include power showers, underfloor heating, DVD/CD player, LCD screen and air-conditioning. Silver Class cabins are 60 sq ft with ensuite facilities. New Heritage Class cabins are smaller and have shared bathroom facilities.

A particular delight of the Golden Eagle are the two restaurant cars, where the chefs serve meals using (wherever possible) local ingredients. Whether it be world-renowned "Borsch" or Omul - a fish unique to Lake Baikal, meals are complemented by wines from around the world, as well as - naturally - vodka.

The social heart of the train is of course the bar car, a great place to relax and settle into the unhurried pace of life on board. Unwind in comfortable surroundings, watch the world go by, and meet your fellow passengers.
