Spend a night in historical Dijon before travelling across the border to Switzerland to enjoy two nights in the attractive lakeside city of Lausanne. Once in Lausanne, take the Chocolate Train from Montreux to Gruyères before travelling to the Nestlé chocolate factory in Broc. After leaving Switzerland you will finish off the holiday with an overnight stay in fabulous Paris.

Travel by Eurostar from London to Paris, where you transfer to Paris Gare du Lyon for the TGV train to Dijon. This journey takes approximately 1 hour 40 minutes.
On arrival in Dijon check-in at the charming Phillipe Le Bon Dijon.
Spend the rest of your day in Dijon. Dijon was once the Roman settlement Divio, as well as being home to the Dukes of Burgundy from 1000 – 1400. Dijon remains the cultural centre it always was and has plenty to see and do as well as providing you with the opportunity to purchase that all important jar of mustard.
After a morning in Dijon take the TGV Lyria train across the Swiss border to Lausanne.
Once in Lausanne check in for 2 nights at the 4 star Alpha Palmiers, conveniently situated next to the train station.
Stretching across five hills, one of which is crowned by the gothic cathedral, Lausanne is a great city destination in its own right. Explore the car free cobbled streets of the old town, take a cruise on Lake Geneva on a paddlewheel steamer or go and visit the stunning Château de Chillon.
After breakfast, take the train to Montreux (approximately 20 minutes). On arrival, transfer onto the Chocolate Train. There are two different types of Chocolate Train carriages, modern panoramic carriages and vintage 1915 belle epoque carriages.
Travel through the vineyards around Montreux, before climbing up to the charming medieval town of Gruyère. A bus takes passengers from the train station to the Gruyère cheese factory, and there is also time for a visit to Gruyère castle.
From Gruyère the train travels to Broc, where the Nestlé Chocolate factory is located. You will be shown how chocolate is produced and enjoy an all important sampling!
Take the train back to Montreux, where you change onto the train to Lausanne for your second night at the Alpha Palmiers Hotel.
Leave Lausanne in the morning and take the high speed TGV Lyria train direct to Paris.
Once in Paris check in at the boutique La Tour D'Auvergne where you will stay overnight.
After you have settled into your hotel, spend the rest of the day exploring the many sights of Paris. Take a river cruise on the Seine, visit the Louvre or Notre Dame, get the best view of Paris with a trip up the Eiffel Tower or browse the department stores along the Champs-Élysées .
After another day in Paris take the Eurostar back to the UK from Gare du Nord in just over 2 hours.
