Itinerary - 6 Night Holiday by Rail

Days 1 and 2

Paris

Travel by Eurostar from London to Paris, where you check in at the La Tour D'Auvergne for a 2 night stay.

Spend the next two days at leisure in Paris enjoying all the French capital has to offer. Take a trip up the famous Eiffel Tower at sunset for fabulous views across the city. Spend an afternoon shopping on the Champs Élysées, well-known for its designer delights and glamorous locals or visit the Basilique du Sacre Coeur, renowned for its beautiful architecture.

Alternatively spend a cultured couple of hours sauntering around the stunning Louvre Museum or take a walk through Luxembourg Gardens for a true taste of Paris' great outdoors.

Days 3 and 4

Brussels

Enjoy breakfast in the hotel before taking the train from Paris to Brussels in only 1hour 30 minutes. On arrival in Brussels check in at the Hilton Brussels City for a 2 night stay.

Brussels is best known for its beer and chocolate but there is so much else to see and do whilst in this medieval city. Stroll around the Grand Place or shop until you drop at Brussels' most exclusive shopping area Avenue Louise.

Enjoy some of the hundreds of varieties of Belgian beer, sample Belgian chocolates or visit the famous Magritte Museum to view over 200 original paintings, drawings and sculptures of the surrealist artist René Magritte. You could also visit the unique Atomium or enjoy a traditional Belgian lunch at the newly renovated Chez Leon in the heart of Brussels!

Days 5 and 6

Amsterdam

After breakfast in the hotel take the train from Brussels to Amsterdam, approximate journey time 2 hours 45 minutes. On arrival check in at the Vondel Hotel Amsterdam for a 2 night stay.

Enjoy a stroll along the scenic canals which provide an alternative and relaxing view of Amsterdam's streets and architecture or watch the world go by from a café, restaurant or canal boat.

Amsterdam is the biggest shopping centre in the Netherlands with over ten thousand shops, markets and boutiques so there are plenty of opportunities to do some shopping! There is also an abundance of museums to visit during your stay in Amsterdam including the popular Anne Frank and Van Gogh museums.

After a busy day strolling around museums why not head to Leidseplein Square to relax in a bar or restaurant whilst enjoying some of the lively street performances by jugglers and musicians.

Day 7

Amsterdam to London

Enjoy breakfast in the hotel before taking the train from Amsterdam to Brussels. On arrival in Brussels transfer onto the Eurostar back to London.

Amsterdam is a multifaceted city, with something for every traveller’s taste. It’s packed with culture, history and architecture and boasts one of the largest historic centres in Europe. Amsterdam has around seven thousand registered historic buildings and an impressive collection of museums. These include the Anne Frank House, the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum, offering a large collection of paintings from the Dutch Golden Age. Don’t miss a boat ride along the city’s historic canals.
