Itinerary - 3 Night Holiday by Rail
Day 1
London to Paris
Take the Eurostar from London to Paris, which takes approximately 2 hours 15 minutes.
On arrival, check in for your overnight stay at the La Tour D'Auvergne.
Spend your day in Paris enjoying all the French capital has to offer. Take a trip up the famous Eiffel Tower at sunset for fabulous views across the city. Spend an afternoon shopping on the Champs Élysées, well-known for its designer delights, or visit the Basilique du Sacré Coeur, renowned for its beautiful architecture. Alternatively spend a cultured couple of hours sauntering around the stunning Louvre Museum or take a walk through Luxembourg Gardens for a true taste of Paris' great outdoors.
Day 2
Paris to Avignon
After breakfast take the TGV through glorious French countryside to Avignon. Head through the Rhone Valley and the stunning hills of Provence all from the comfort of your seat before arriving in Avignon. The train takes approximately 2 hours 50 minutes.
On arrival, check in for your 2 night stay at the De L'Horloge Avignon.
Day 3
Avignon
Spend a full day in the fascinating and atmospheric city of Avignon. Visit the impressive 3-acre Palace of the Popes built in the 14th Century. Explore the nearby Petit Palais and Palais du Roure museums as well as the city's thriving street scene. Take your time to wander through the ancient streets and medieval buildings dating back to the 14th century before relaxing with a glass of local wine in one of the quality restaurants Avignon has to offer.
Day 4
Avignon to London
Sit back and enjoy the journey to Paris on your TGV train. Stop for a glass of "vin rouge" in the French capital or transfer straight on to the Eurostar back to London.

Paris

Avignon
Avignon is a beautiful medieval walled city in the heart of Provence. The centre is dominated by the huge, Gothic Palais des Papes, the seat of Catholic popes during the 14th century. Wander the lovely streets of the old centre which are full of artists’ galleries, visit the colourful outdoor market on the Place Pie or come during July when the city hums with thousands of visitors to its annual, massive theatre festival.
La Tour D'Auvergne 
La Tour d'Auvergne is a charming boutique hotel packed with character and with 24 contemporary and individually styled rooms. The hotel is located on a quiet residential street between the Montmartre and Opera districts- typical Paris.
