Itinerary - 5 Night Holiday by Rail

Days 1 and 2

London to Paris

Speed through the Channel Tunnel from London to Paris aboard the Eurostar, which takes approximately 2 hours 15 minutes.

Check in at the La Tour D'Auvergne for your 2 night stay.

Spend 2 days in Paris enjoying all the French capital has to offer. Take a trip up the famous Eiffel Tower at sunset for fabulous views across the city. Spend an afternoon shopping on the Champs Élysées, well-known for its designer shopping, or visit the Basilique du Sacré Coeur, renowned for its beautiful architecture. Alternatively spend a cultured couple of hours sauntering around the stunning Louvre Museum or take a walk through Luxembourg Gardens for a true taste of Paris' great outdoors.

Days 3 to 5

Paris to Amsterdam

Travel from Paris to Amsterdam on the high speed Thalys train. Journey time is approximately 3 hours and 10 minutes.

Check in at the Mercure Amsterdam Arthur Frommer for your 3 night stay.

Spend 3 days at leisure exploring this lively, cosmopolitan city. Wander along the scenic canals or watch the world go by as you relax in one of the many cafés. Hiring a bike is a great way to get around Amsterdam. There are dedicated bike paths throughout the city and bikes are available to hire from around €8 per day.

Amsterdam is the biggest shopping centre in the Netherlands with over ten thousand shops, markets and boutiques so there are plenty of opportunities to do some shopping during your stay! There are also many museums that you can visit, including the Rijksmuseum, Anne Frank museum and Van Gogh museum. Don’t miss a trip to the beautiful flower market full of traditional Dutch tulips!

Day 6

Amsterdam to London

After breakfast take the train from Amsterdam to Brussels. In Brussels transfer onto the Eurostar to London.
