A spectacular journey transporting you from London to Venice and back again aboard the glamorous Orient Express. Step onto the historic British Pullman to enjoy a sumptuous brunch before travelling across the Channel to France. Once here, join the Orient Express and enjoy the views from your elegant compartment before strolling to the restaurant car for dinner. After a refreshing sleep, awake in the Austrian hills passing beautiful rolling valleys and snowcapped mountains before arriving in Venice.

Due to engineering works, the Venice-Simplon Orient-Express will be running along the Gotthard Pass rather than the Brenner Pass route through the Alps between June 13th and September 30th. This route offers equally stunning mountain scenery.
Itinerary - 4 Night Luxury Holiday by Rail
Days 1 and 2
Orient Express to Venice
As you board the British Pullman train (the Orient Express to Venice) at London Victoria station, your steward will show you to your reserved seat. Sit back and enjoy lunch as you travel throughout the Kentish countryside. After crossing the Channel, board the blue and gold carriages of the Continental Wagons-Lits.
Throughout your journey you will be attended by your own personal Steward. After you have settled into your private compartment, you will be served a four-course dinner. When you are ready, retire to your compartment, which has now been transformed into a bedroom.
Days 2 to 5
Venice
Breakfast on the Orient Express is served in your compartment as you travel through the Swiss Alps. Spend the morning in the Bar Car chatting to fellow guests over coffee. Enjoy lunch served in another of the restaurant cars. Relax in your compartment and admire passing scenery as the Orient Express train travels through the Italian Dolomites. Afternoon tea is served in your compartment as you travel through the Brenner Pass. Finally prepare to disembark as the Orient Express train crosses the Venetian Lagoon and pulls into Venice Santa Lucia station.
On arrival at Venice Santa Lucia check in at the San Clemente Palace Venice for your 2 night stay. Stretched across 117 islands within the Venetian Lagoon, Venice is unique. Famed for its canals, its history and its etheral beauty, this city continues to enchant visitors from all over the world, as it has done for centuries.
Spend your time discovering the numerous attractions of this enchanting City. St Martins Basilica, Piazza San Marco and the Doge's Palace to name a few. Treat yourself to a classic gondola ride through the maze of canals before tucking in to some cicchetti (Italian tapas), washed down with a glass of sparkling prosecco.
Day 5
Venice to London
Board the splendid Wagons-Lits carriages at Venice Santa Lucia station. Your steward will show you to your private compartment, before you enjoy a three-course lunch as you gaze at the beautiful passing scenery of the Italian Dolomites and the Swiss Alps. Afternoon tea is served in your compartment. A four-course dinner is served in the evening.
The next morning breakfast is served in your compartment before train pulls into Paris Gare de l’Est and halts for 40 minutes, a delicious brunch is served in the restaurant cars as you travel on towards the French coast for the Channel crossing.
Join the cream and umber carriages of the British Pullman for the journey to London. A traditional English afternoon tea accompanied by a glass of champagne is served to you at your table and you watch the gentle scenery of Kent pass by. Suddenly, you are drawing into London Victoria station.

Venice
With its unique atmosphere, Venice has entranced visitors for centuries. Get lost in the winding narrow streets and pretty little campos. You will always end up back at the Grand Canal, with its grand palazzos and distinctive stripped mooring poles. Don’t miss the spectacular St Mark’s Square with its ornate Basilica or the little boutiques on and around the Rialto Bridge.
Cabins
Private cabins on the Venice-Simplon Orient-Express have been restored to their former glory with original fixtures and fittings. Each carriage has its own dedicated steward who is available at all times to make your journey as comfortable as possible. Each cabin has two bunk beds and an original washbasin. The top bunk is folded away for day use and both beds are made up for the night with crisp linen and soft towels whilst guests are enjoying their evening meal in the restaurant cars. Toilet facilities are located at the end of each carriage and are maintained to the highest standards by the stewards.
Dining
The Orient-Express has three individually designed restaurant cars: Côte d’Azur, Etoile du Nord and L’Oriental. Lunch, dinner and brunch are served in these restaurant cars whilst breakfast and afternoon tea is served to guests in their cabins by their steward. All dishes are freshly prepared onboard using the finest supplies acquired during the journey. There is a set menu for all meals with an à la carte menu and 24 hour compartment service also available.

San Clemente Palace Venice 
The San Clemente Palace Hotel in Venice is a historic hotel set in a 17th century Camaldolesi monastery. The hotel has a restaurant. In the grounds of the hotel is an outdoor pool, two tennis courts, a pitch & putt golf course, and a Wellness and Fitness Centre (closed on Mondays).
The hotel is set on a 17 acre private island in the Venice Lagoon, with great views over St Mark’s Square, Giudecca Island and the Lido. It is 12 minutes away from St Mark’s Square by 24 hour complimentary shuttle boat.
