Day 1

London to Venice

Fly with British Airways from London to Venice in Euro Traveller Class.

Arrive in Venice where you check in for a 3 night stay at the Ai Mori d' Oriente Hotel.

Wander through the delightful cobbled streets and piazzas of this romantic city, discovering new treats around every corner such as impressive churches, beautiful bridges and quaint trattorias. Stop in one of the many pretty restaurants to dine on traditional Venetian cuisine and admire the gorgeous scenery.

Days 2 and 3

Venice

Discover the numerous attractions of this magical City. St Martins Basilica, Piazza San Marco and the Doge's Palace to name a few. Treat yourself to a classic gondola ride through the maze of canals before tucking in to some cicchetti (Italian tapas), washed down with a glass of sparkling prosecco.

Day 4

Venice Simplon Orient Express

Board the splendid Wagons-Lits carriages of the Venice-Simplon Orient-Express at Venice Santa Lucia station. Your steward will show you to your private compartment, before you enjoy a three-course lunch as you gaze at the beautiful passing scenery of the Italian Dolomites, the Austrian and Swiss Alps. Afternoon tea is served in your compartment. A four-course dinner is served in the evening.

Day 5

Arrive London

This morning breakfast is served in your compartment before the train pulls into Paris Gare de l’Est and halts for 40 minutes. A delicious brunch is served in the restaurant cars as you travel on towards the French coast for the Channel crossing.
Join the cream and umber carriages of the British Pullman for the journey to London. A traditional English afternoon tea accompanied by a glass of champagne is served to you at your table and you watch the gentle scenery of Kent pass by. Suddenly, you are drawing into London Victoria station.

Cabins
Private cabins on the Venice-Simplon Orient-Express have been restored to their former glory with original fixtures and fittings. Each carriage has its own dedicated steward who is available at all times to make your journey as comfortable as possible. Each cabin has two bunk beds and an original washbasin. The top bunk is folded away for day use and both beds are made up for the night with crisp linen and soft towels whilst guests are enjoying their evening meal in the restaurant cars. Toilet facilities are located at the end of each carriage and are maintained to the highest standards by the stewards.

Dining
The Orient-Express has three individually designed restaurant cars: Côte d’Azur, Etoile du Nord and L’Oriental. Lunch, dinner and brunch are served in these restaurant cars whilst breakfast and afternoon tea is served to guests in their cabins by their steward. All dishes are freshly prepared onboard using the finest supplies acquired during the journey. There is a set menu for all meals with an à la carte menu and 24 hour compartment service also available.

Itinerary - 5 Night Deluxe Holiday by Rail

Day 1

London to Zurich

Travel from London to Paris on the Eurostar, before transferring onto the TGV Lyria to Zurich. On arrival check-in for 1 night at the Hotel du Théâtre.

Enjoy your overnight stay in one of Switzerland's most scenic cites. Take a walk along the beautiful Lake Zürich or stop in one of the many museums dotted around the city, before sampling some traditional Swiss fare such as raclette, sauerkraut or delicious fondue.

Days 2 to 4

Venice

Take the train from Zurich through the Swiss Alps along the Gotthard Pass. Look out for glimpses of Lake Lugano on the border with Italy. The train travels down to Milan before travelling to Venice (keep an eye out for views over Lake Como and Garda along the way).

Itinerary - 4 Night Luxury Holiday by Air + Rail

Day 1

London to Venice

Fly with British Airways from London to Venice in Euro Traveller Class.

Arrive in Venice where you check in for a 3 night stay at the Centurion Palace. Spend the evening wandering through the delightful cobbled streets and Piazzas of this romantic city, discovering new treats around every corner such as impressive churches, beautiful bridges and quaint trattorias. Stop in one of the many pretty restaurants to dine on traditional Venetian cuisine and admire the gorgeous scenery.

Days 2 and 3

Venice

Discover the numerous attractions of this magical City. St Martins Basilica, Piazza San Marco and the Doge's Palace to name a few. Treat yourself to a classic gondola ride through the maze of canals before tucking in to some cicchetti (Italian tapas), washed down with a glass of sparkling prosecco.

Day 4

Venice Simplon Orient Express

Board the splendid Wagons-Lits carriages of the Venice Simplon Orient Express at Venice Santa Lucia station. Your steward will show you to your private compartment, before you enjoy a three-course lunch as you gaze at the beautiful passing scenery of the Italian Dolomites, the Austrian and the Swiss Alps. Afternoon tea is served in your compartment. A four-course dinner is served in the evening.

Day 5

Arrive in London

This morning breakfast is served in your compartment before the train pulls into Paris Gare de l’Est and halts for 40 minutes. A delicious brunch is served in the restaurant cars as you travel on towards the French coast for the Channel crossing.
Join the cream and umber carriages of the British Pullman for the journey to London. A traditional English afternoon tea accompanied by a glass of champagne is served to you at your table and you watch the gentle scenery of Kent pass by. Suddenly, you are drawing into London Victoria station.

Venice

With its unique atmosphere, Venice has entranced visitors for centuries. Get lost in the winding narrow streets and pretty little campos. You will always end up back at the Grand Canal, with its grand palazzos and distinctive stripped mooring poles. Don’t miss the spectacular St Mark’s Square with its ornate Basilica or the little boutiques on and around the Rialto Bridge.

Cabins
Private cabins on the Venice-Simplon Orient-Express have been restored to their former glory with original fixtures and fittings. Each carriage has its own dedicated steward who is available at all times to make your journey as comfortable as possible. Each cabin has two bunk beds and an original washbasin. The top bunk is folded away for day use and both beds are made up for the night with crisp linen and soft towels whilst guests are enjoying their evening meal in the restaurant cars. Toilet facilities are located at the end of each carriage and are maintained to the highest standards by the stewards.

Dining
The Orient-Express has three individually designed restaurant cars: Côte d’Azur, Etoile du Nord and L’Oriental. Lunch, dinner and brunch are served in these restaurant cars whilst breakfast and afternoon tea is served to guests in their cabins by their steward. All dishes are freshly prepared onboard using the finest supplies acquired during the journey. There is a set menu for all meals with an à la carte menu and 24 hour compartment service also available.

Itinerary - 5 Night Luxury Holiday by Rail

Day 1

London to Zurich

Travel from London to Paris by Eurostar, before transferring onto the TGV service to Zurich. On arrival, check in for 1 night at the Schweizerhof Hotel.

Zurich is Switzerland's most cosmopolitan and elegant city, situated on the banks of the river Limmat. The city features an impressive number of art galleries and museums, among which are the Swiss National Museum and the Kunsthaus. Spend the evening by the lake in the old town district of Niederdorf, famous for its bars, restaurants, lounges and fashion shops for the young and stylish.

Day 2

Zurich to Venice

Take the train from Zurich through the Swiss Alps along the Gotthard Pass. Look out for glimpses of Lake Lugano on the border with Italy. The train travels down to Milan before continuing to Venice (keep an eye out for views over Lake Como and Garda along the way).

Arrive in Venice, and check in to Centurion Palace where you will stay for 3 nights.

Cabins
Private cabins on the Venice-Simplon Orient-Express have been restored to their former glory with original fixtures and fittings. Each carriage has its own dedicated steward who is available at all times to make your journey as comfortable as possible. Each cabin has two bunk beds and an original washbasin. The top bunk is folded away for day use and both beds are made up for the night with crisp linen and soft towels whilst guests are enjoying their evening meal in the restaurant cars. Toilet facilities are located at the end of each carriage and are maintained to the highest standards by the stewards.

Dining
The Orient-Express has three individually designed restaurant cars: Côte d’Azur, Etoile du Nord and L’Oriental. Lunch, dinner and brunch are served in these restaurant cars whilst breakfast and afternoon tea is served to guests in their cabins by their steward. All dishes are freshly prepared onboard using the finest supplies acquired during the journey. There is a set menu for all meals with an à la carte menu and 24 hour compartment service also available.
