Travel on the Eurostar from London to Paris, where you transfer onto the famous TGV train to Zurich. Speed through the French Champagne region passing quaint French villages and picturesque countryside before arriving into Zurich in time for dinner.

Zurich is Switzerland's most cosmopolitan and elegant city, situated on the banks of the river Limmat. The city features an impressive number of art galleries and museums, among which are the Swiss National Museum and the Kunsthaus. Spend the evening by the lake in the old town district of Niederdorf, famous for its bars, restaurants, lounges and fashion shops for the young and stylish.
After breakfast, take the Eurocity train from Zurich to Desenzano via Milan. Relax whilst the train cuts through the Alps on the famous Gotthard pass across the border into Italy. As well as the stunning mountain scenery the train runs next to Lakes Lugano and Como. After a quick change over in Milan you arrive into Desenzano station in the afternoon.

Florence is a beautiful Tuscan city, famous as the birthplace of the Renaissance movement. Visit Michelangelo’s David at the Galleria dell’Accademia, or head to the fabulous Uffizi Gallery for works by Leonardo da Vinci, Botticelli and Giotto amongst hundreds of others. For some rest and relaxation, the Boboli Gardens are a tranquil haven with superb views over the distinctive umber roofs and famous domed spires of the city.
Desenzano del Garda is the largest town on the Lake, with plenty to see and do as well as great rail and ferry connections to other resorts on Lake Garda. Visit the beautiful inland harbour, full of colourful little fishing boats or enjoy a drink on the main square, Piazza Matteotti. You can also indulge in some shopping here with everything from souvenirs to designer labels on offer. Don’t miss a visit to the cool interior of the 16th century church of Santa Maria Maddalena.
