Itinerary - 4 Night Holiday by Rail

Days 1 and 2

Brussels

Take the Eurostar to Brussels (the journey time from London to Brussels is 1 hour 51 minutes). Check-in at the Leopold Hotel Brussels, which will be your base in Brussels for 2 nights.

Brussels is best known for its beer and chocolate but there is so much else to see and do whilst in this medieval city. Wander around the famous Grand Place or climb to the top of the 96 metre high town hall tower for the best views across Brussels!

Brussels also has an abundance of cafes and restaurants which are perfect for relaxing in after a busy day shopping along the famous Avenue Louise.

If you decide to visit museums during your stay in Brussels then do not miss out on the Magritte Museum. Here you can view over 200 original paintings, drawings and sculptures of the surrealist artist René Magritte.

Days 3 and 4

Amsterdam

Day 3, take the new high speed Thalys train from Brussels to Amsterdam, the journey time is 1 hour 53 minutes. Check-in at the Vondel Hotel Amsterdam, where you will be staying for 2 nights.

Spend 2 days at leisure exploring this lively cosmopolitan city. Wander along the scenic canals or watch the world go by as you relax in one of the many cafes.

Hiring a bike is a great way to get around Amsterdam. There are dedicated bike paths throughout the city and bikes are available to hire from around €8 per day.

Amsterdam is the biggest shopping centre in the Netherlands with over ten thousand shops, markets and boutiques so there are plenty of opportunities to do some shopping during your stay! There are also many museums that you can visit including the Rijksmuseum, Anne Frank museum and Van Gogh museum.

Put the perfect end to your holiday by enjoying a relaxing dinner in one of the many restaurants!

Day 5

Amsterdam to London

After breakfast take the high speed Thalys train from Amsterdam to Brussels. In Brussels transfer onto the Eurostar to London.
