Itinerary - 7 Night Holiday by Rail
Day 1
London to Berlin
Travel from St Pancras International or Ebbsfleet International by Eurostar to Brussels and then connect on to the German ICE train to Berlin via Cologne.
Once in Berlin check in at the Park Plaza Wallstreet Berlin, where you will stay for 3 nights.
Days 2 and 3
Berlin
Spend two full days exploring the fascinating city of Berlin with its innumerable museums, fabulous architecture, beguiling attractions and vibrant nightlife.
You could spend weeks exploring the 153 museums on offer in Berlin. In particular the Gemäldegalerie holds one of the most renowned collections of European art from the Old Masters and the Pergamon Museum has a huge antiquity collection including some massive original-sized monuments.
Also why not enjoy lunch in the rooftop restaurant of the imposing Reichstag building or stroll down the Kurfürstendamm for some great shopping.
Day 4
Berlin to Prague
After another morning in Berlin take the train from Berlin to Prague which follows the scenic Elbe river valley. The journey time is approximately 4 hours 45 minutes.
On arrival in Prague check-in for a 3 night stay at the Elite Prague Hotel.
Days 5 and 6
Prague
Spend three days exploring Central Europe's most popular destination.
Steeped in history and with a wide variety of attractions, this not-so-hidden gem continues to delight visitors from all over the world. The city offers some of the best examples of Art Nouveau, Renaissance, and Neo-Classical architecture in Europe and its historic centre is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Climb up the famous castle to discover the seat of Roman Emperors and Bohemian Kings, take a look at the crown jewels and get a great view of the city. Cross the magnificent Charles Bridge and make your way to the Old Town Square to see the Astronomical Clock or browse around the little cobbled streets for shopping and cafés.
Day 7
Prague to Nuremberg
After lunch take the train across the border into Germany, arriving into Nuremberg in time for dinner. Check in at the Le Meridien Grand Nuremberg for an overnight stay.
This 5 star hotel is located directly opposite the train station and perfectly situated for exploring Nuremberg.
Nuremberg has a long history and its position in Bavaria means it is also set in some beautiful surroundings, with the majestic Alps to the south. Don't miss out on a visit to the Imperial Castle, sitting proudly on top of the Old Town hill. The castle was one of the most important centres of power during the Middle Ages and dominates the city centre.
Day 8
Nuremberg to London
After a morning in Nuremberg travel by high speed train through Germany to Brussels before finishing the holiday on Eurostar back to London.

Berlin
Berlin is a fascinating city full of history, culture, fabulous buildings and museums, along with a wide range of excellent restaurants and a strong tradition in the performing arts. There is no better place to start than the Berlin Wall; symbolising the division between capitalist West and communist East, sections of the Wall can be visited at several locations. Head up the Alexanderplatz Tower for spectacular views or visit Museum Island for some of the city’s oldest and finest museums.
Prague
Prague has over a thousand years of history, architecture and culture to discover. In the UNESCO World Heritage listed Old Town you can wander through narrow, cobbled lanes, discover ornate churches and stumble across grand open squares including the main Old Town Square where you can see the pretty Astronomical Clock, one of the oldest and most elaborate clocks ever built. There are also many museums to choose from, including the National Museum (for history) and the National Gallery, the second oldest art gallery in Europe after the Louvre in Paris.
Nuremberg
Nuremberg is a buzzing Bavarian city with a beautiful medieval Old Town, dominated by its imposing castle which dates back to the 11th century. Take a tour here and visit the castle museum as well as the pretty streets of merchants’ houses enclosed in the Burgviertel (Castle Quarter). There are also superb views to be had from the towers and ramparts. Elsewhere, the Nazi Party Rally Grounds offer an insight into the city’s more recent history. Don’t leave without trying some dark Bavarian beer.
