Travel from London to Paris on Eurostar, where you transfer onto the high speed TGV Lyria train to Zurich. On arrival in Zurich, check in at the Hotel du Théâtre for an overnight stay.
Zurich is widely considered to be one of Switzerland's most scenic cities. Climb the steps of the Grossmünster for incredible views over the rooftops, wander through the cobbled streets of the old town, take a romantic stroll along the beautiful Lake Zürich, or shop for gifts along the famous Bahnhofstrasse.
In the evening, sample some traditional Swiss cuisine such as raclette, sauerkraut or delicious fondue.
Enjoy breakfast in the hotel before travelling by train through the Swiss and Austrian Alps over the spectacular Arlberg Pass. This scenic journey beings in Zurich as you travel along the shores of the lake. Once the train leaves Zurich, beautiful Alpine scenery comes into view as the train passes through Liechtenstein before entering Austria. Spend the next four days at leisure in the stunning surroundings of the Austrian Lake District. St. Wolfgang is situated at the northern bank of Lake Wolfgang and is the perfect place to relax. Take a boat trip around the lake, relax on the hotel’s private beach area, which is located directly on the lake, or go for a stroll around the picturesque town with its pilgrimage church and stunning scenery. Take a trip on the Schafberg Cog Railway up the Schafberg Mountain for spectacular views over the surrounding area, or why not take a day trip to one of the surrounding lakes such as Mondsee?
After breakfast in the hotel travel by train from St. Wolfgang to Salzburg before continuing to the Bavarian city of Munich. On arrival in Munich, check in at the Courtyard Munich City Centre for an overnight stay.
Spend the rest of the afternoon exploring Munich. Marienplatz is the iconic centrepiece of this beautiful Bavarian city and is the perfect place to start. In the evening, visit one of Munich's many bars and restaurants, some of the best of which line the streets leading to and from the Marienplatz.
In the morning, travel by German ICE train to Frankfurt and Brussels before taking the Eurostar back to London.
