Zurich is Switzerland's most cosmopolitan and elegant city, situated on the banks of the River Limmat. The city is home to an impressive number of art galleries and museums, among which are the Swiss National Museum and the Kunsthaus. Spend the evening by the lake in the old town district of Niederdorf, famous for its bars, restaurants, lounges and fashion shops.
After breakfast take the train through the Swiss and Austrian Alps over the Arlberg Pass. This spectacular journey leaves Zurich, travelling along the bank of Lake Zurich before the Alpine scenery starts to come into view. You briefly pass through Liechtenstein before entering Austria. Travel along the Arlberg Pass, through mountain meadows and past stunning mountain scenery.
On arrival in Innsbruck check in for an overnight stay at the Hilton Innsbruck just a short walk from the town centre.
Surrounded by snowcapped mountains, Innsbruck has gained a reputation as an impressive Austrian holiday destination due to its fantastic winter sporting events and impressive historical monuments. After breakfast travel by train to Vienna. On arrival, check in for a 2 night stay at the boutique Hotel Am Konzerthaus located right in the centre of Vienna.
Stretch your legs with a wander around some of the city's highlights such as the Anchor Clock, the prestigious Opera House and the Hofburg, Vienna's Imperial Palace. Spend the evening indulging in some Austrian cuisine, such as the Wiener Schnitzel and Sachertorte - a delicious chocolate cream cake. Alternatively, catch an opera or concert at Vienna's celebrated buildings dedicated to the world of music. Music buffs will also be in their element with a huge choice of classical concerts featuring local heroes such as Johann Strauss, Mozart and Schubert.
