High Speed Thalys Trains

Thalys is a high speed train that connects Paris and Brussels to Germany and Holland. Following the opening of two new high speed lines to Amsterdam and Cologne in December 2009 travel times have now been reduced to:

Brussels to Rotterdam in 1 hour 11 minutes
Brussels to Cologne in 1 hour 47 minutes
Brussels to Amsterdam in 1 hour 53 minutes
Paris to Cologne in 3 hours 14 minutes
Paris to Amsterdam in 3 hours 18 minutes

Thalys classes and services on board:

Thalys Comfort 2 (2nd Class) - Comfort 2 offers comfortable, reclining seats, Wifi connection (chargeable), and a separate family area.

Thalys Comfort 1 (1st Class) - Upgrade to a more spacious carriage, with a complimentary light meal served at your seat, free Wifi, electric sockets, complimentary newspapers and access to the Deutsche Bahn Lounge in Cologne and NS Hispeed Lounges in Amsterdam and Rotterdam.

Thalys Bar - Situated between Comfort 1 and 2 carriages, has a selection of hot dishes, sandwiches, snacks and hot and cold drinks. You can also purchase public transport tickets for Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam and Rotterdam at the bar.
