Bregenz Festival

Wed 21 Jul 2010 - Sun 22 Aug 2010

The are a number of opera festivals taking place across Europe in the coming months but the Bregenz Festival, which runs from July 21st to August 22nd, stands out from all of them.

Visitors can look forward to a month-long extravaganza of song, dance and performance which is split into two parts, with half of the event happening in Festival House and the rest on a floating stage.

The highlight of the floating stage productions is Aida, the legendary opera from Giuseppe Verdi, which was a departure from his previous hard operas full of problems and politics.

The Festival House meanwhile will be the stage for Mieczyslaw Weinberg's "The Passenger".

As well as these two productions, visitors can look forward to orchestral concerts from the Vienna Symphony Orchestra.

Enjoy wonderful operas on your Bregenz break.
