Get the Red Arrow from Milan to Rome
Those keen to experience the splendour of Italy can now travel between Milan and Rome, two of the most famous and stylish cities in the country and indeed the world, in super-quick time thanks to the new Red Arrow rail service.
Mauro Moretti, chief executive officer at Italian Railways, announced at a press conference in the capital that Trenitalia has introduced the high-speed line to match the changes taking place in rail travel across the nation.
As a result, visitors can now journey between Rome and Milan in just three-and-a-half hours, and in less than four hours when stopping in Bologna or Florence.
In addition, those keen to explore more of the country can also travel between Naples and Milan in four hours and fifty minutes thanks to the new super-fast service.
Mr Moretti said the project is among the most sophisticated in the world and will meet the demands of locals and travellers.
"Rail travel in Italy is changing; Rome and Milan are closer and so are all the major cities in the country. We have dramatically upgraded rail technology to give the country a high-speed system among the most modern in the world," he stated.
This means visitors can reach fantastic attractions such as the Duomo Cathedral and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan and the Coliseum in Rome a lot quicker, providing an opportunity to explore more of these two wonderful destinations.
Enjoy a high-speed journey on your Milan break.
