See the Bacon exhibition in Madrid
Art and history fans alike will be heading to the Prado Museum in Madrid until April 19th as the city celebrates Francis Bacon's work.
The exhibition, which has toured around different museums, took up residency at the venue from February 3rd to April 19th.
A range of the work from the artist will be on display, which will the first show of its kind since he died.
New research into Bacon's work has led to this revival.
The artist will also be explored in cinema sessions at the museum, which cost three euros (£2.80) each for entry.
In addition, lectures will be held, giving attendees the chance to discuss the artist's work, life and death.
Those less familiar with the work of Bacon will be able to join a guided tour around the exhibitions, although these are only run in Spanish.
Britain's Tate gallery has previously run the exhibition, describing him as "among the most powerful painters of the 20th century".
"His vision of the world was unflinching and entirely individual, encompassing images of sensuality and brutality, both immediate and timeless," the Tate adds.
