So much on offer in magnificent London
London is one of the liveliest and most thrilling cities in the world, with something fascinating and fun to do around almost every corner. With so many famous attractions and landmarks, it makes for a fantastic city break.
Art lovers are spoiled for choice in England's capital, with the National Gallery containing one of the most fabulous collections of European art in the world. Famous pieces by Leonardo da Vinci, Van Gough, Turner and Rembrandt can all be found.
Those interested in modern art should head to the Tate Modern, which houses a vast array of works by contemporary artists, including Picasso, Dali, Warhol and Matisse.
The award-winning Imperial War Museum gives a fascinating insight into the wars of the 20th century, with a Holocaust Exhibition, reconstructions of an air-raid shelter and many more excellent displays.
One of the highlights of a trip to London is a ride on the London Eye. The world's largest observation wheel offers unbeatable views of the city's landmarks, including Big Ben, St Paul's Cathedral, the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Bridge.
Hyde Park is the ideal location to take a rest from hectic sightseeing. The beautiful park includes the Diana Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain, several catering facilities and an education centre.
London also has some of the best restaurants in the world, with every type of cuisine imaginable on offer, to suit a range of budgets.
The city clearly has so much to do and this is without mentioning the Tower of London, the Royal Botanic Gardens, Buckingham Palace, the Natural History Museum and the London Dungeon.
