Christmas festivities at Schnobrunn Palace in Vienna

Schonbrunn Palace will host a Christmas market between November 22nd and December 26th, with the event being described as one of the best in Austria.
The festivities will be held on Parade Court outside the palace with 60 exhibitors and 13 food and drink stands set to be available for visitors.
According to the official website, there will be a variety of stalls offering items from Christmas decorations and mangers to hot punch and Christmas cakes.
Children have been catered for, with a programme being created especially for them and interactive session taking place.
Some workshops involve kids making handicrafts or small presents for their loved ones, or baking festival gingerbreads.
For those who like a good Christmas sing-song there will be carols and gospels with various bands and music groups from across the world performing in front of the giant Christmas tree.
The event will be open from 10:00 to 20:30 local time each day, with earlier closing times on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
For those who want to know more about the city and the market's origins a guided tour is on offer, which takes approximately one hour and is available in English and German.
The tour will give information on the Hadsburg era, the origins of the Christmas tree and customs in Austria.
Other Christmas markets in Austria this year include one in front of the city hall and another at the Spittelberg.
