Troyes' Bien Vivre
2nd August 2006
The Parc des Expositions in Troyes becomes a food-lover's paradise in November every year as the city celebrates its cuisine in style.
From November 10th to 12th, the centre is transformed into a wonderful food hall, with a variety of delicacies on offer for visitors to sample. The smells in the centre are enough to get the majority of visitors watering at the mouth in anticipation of the various local treats on offer.
The event brings together local produce and foods from across France, with the opportunity for visitors to taste more exotic foods Oysters and foie gras are on the menu, as well as some of France’s famous cheeses. Also available for tasting are exquisite truffles and of course gorgeous chocolate concoctions, for those with a sweet tooth!
As well as confectionary, there is a range of France's best meals, with typical favourites such as frog's legs and snails available – all expertly cooked.
Over 100 exhibitors arrive at the venue every year for this festival and only the best culinary masters are chosen to exhibit at the event, meaning that the quality of food here is second to none.
There is also a plentiful supply of wines and champagnes on show, giving visitors on a short break to Troyes the perfect opportunity to sample the region's most famous export before discovering the vineyards where it is harvested.
