Rotterdam is a vibrant, fascinating and busy place to visit and is the most modern city in the Netherlands. With fabulous architecture, interesting museums and a lively nightlife, visitors of all ages and tastes will find things to enjoy.

For unbeatable views of the city and the surrounding bustling harbour, visitors are recommended to visit the Euromast Space Tower which has a revolving sit-down elevator.

Those interested in architecture will also find much on offer in Rotterdam, with new and inventive buildings adding to the city's skyline on a regular occasion. In particular, the marvellous cube-shaped houses are well-worth a visit.

Several excellent museums can be found, such as the Boymans-van-Beuningen museum, which houses a huge collection of paintings, sculptures and design, including works by Monet, Van Gogh, Picasso and Cezanne.

In addition, the Kunsthal has constantly changing exhibitions of contemporary art and photography, while the Maritiem Museum is also popular.

The nightlife in Rotterdam is thriving, with venues offering everything from the latest dance offerings to classical music, and top quality restaurants and cafes are easy to find.

Rotterdam is full of friendly residents, offers a wide range of activities to visitors and has a welcoming charm, making it a great choice for a weekend getaway.
