Paris Guided Garden Tours

Horticulture fanatics will be sure to enjoy the annual Paris Guided Garden Tours which take place in the month of October.

Designed for English-speaking visitors, the guided tours take in some of Paris' most sumptuous parks and gardens. Informative and lively, the tours cover the best this classic European city has to offer, including the well-known Andre-Citroen Park.

Located in the 15th district next to the River Seine, the Andre-Citroen Park was originally designed by the famous landscape designers Gilles Clement and Alain Provost. A tour here takes in a variety of sights including fountains, glasshouses and the array of wild plants themselves.

A quieter time can be had in the serene Rodin Sculpture Garden in the grounds of the Musee Rodin. There are many sculptures to enjoy while walking around including the aptly-named Le Penseur (The Thinker).

Tours around the Parc de Bercy near the 12th district are very popular also. The gardens overlook the Seine and also the Bibliotheque de Paris and contain an immaculately-preserved lawn which leads through to an impressive rose garden. Horticulture buffs will also enjoy the orchard and romantic garden as well as a canal backed by wisteria-covered pergolas.
