Marie Antoinette showcases Paris

4th October 2006

A new film about to be released will give those considering a short break to Paris plenty of food for thought.

Marie Antoinette opens in cinemas later this month and is set to be a showcase for some of the most famous sights of France's capital city.

Marie Antoinette, starring Kirsten Dunst in the role of France's iconic but ill-fated queen, portrays a picture of France's regal heritage.

Paris itself is full of history and to this day there are many sights which have important connections with the country's revolution and the monarchy which previously reigned in the country.

The opulent world in which Marie Antoinette lived has remained preserved for visitors to discover, with the royal court near Paris still a popular tourist attraction with its beauty and long history.

Not only was this the home of the renowned French queen, but was also the residence of many of the country's famous kings and queens down the ages, making the royal court a must-see attraction during a short break for those interested in France's long and illustrious history.
